Sorry for delay in response. Found older whipple instructions that showed the harness tapping a fuse in fuse box and other using the common ground. I cut the IMRC plug off the harness and picked up a tap a fuse from auto part store. ALl is good in the world!
Hey All,
Those of you with fuel systems with the fuel rails run in parallel, where did you place the "Y" for the feed? Can anyone provide a picture of where you did?
Thanks!
Josh
I did find that the older instructions and it showed the relay was configured exactly like I was thinking. One wire is common ground other is to a switched fuse with a fuse tap. Looks like they just put the IMRC plug on it on later revisions to allow complete plug and play. Ill give it a shot...
Hey guys!
Getting ready to install a fore fuel system and get a custom tune. Tuner has requested that Intercooler pump be wired to a keyed source. The stock relay from Whipple uses one of the IMRC plugs for its keyed source. I assume this plug can be cut off the relay and one of the wires be...
About to do a short block swap and had a question about head gaskets. Does cometic not offer a head gasket for the Gen 2 coyote? The oil hole is bigger for the cam phaser oil passage on the gen 2 and ford specifically calls out the gen 1 gaskets not working correctly because of this.
Any ideas?
I just ordered a new short block. As a few others have mentioned, oil filter adapter is in fact different. Make sure to get the right one for your gen.
Nobody said i reused the bolt. I bought new TTY bolts. They are like 7 dollars.
"I have done all my OPG installs for people with the OEM Torque to yield bolt following the ford documentation with ZERO issues."
Ford documentation says to discard and buy new lol.
Where did you get I reused it?
I know the ARP bolt is fancy but.... I've seen people having it back out and have read about it too. I have done all my OPG installs for people with the OEM Torque to yield bolt following the ford documentation with ZERO issues.
Agree with the other guys, Did my OPGs many moons ago and reused gaskets no problem. Zero leaks or issues. Ive done 3 other OPG installs for people the same way with no issues. Like CrackerJack said, the TA30 is pricey and you use almost none of it but I followed the service manual on where to...
Car did feel off a lap before the CEL. Once it cooled off though it was back to normal. I can monitor IAT 2 with my nguage but I wasn't on this trip. I had some fueling issues about 6 months ago when I had my procharger. I'm pretty sure that's when I hurt the motor. After installing the whipple...
I like the idea of just getting one put together and moving my heads to it. I figured ill do the fuel system, clutch and switch to e85 while im in there.
