Zero percent chance that fossil fuels will dissappear before the earth is drained dry. I just can't see electic passenger aircraft ever the mainstream...ever. Talk about range anxiety!
I’ve had excellent results dealing with my local dealership. Unfortunately, they are not all like mine. I’m sorry that your splitter fell off and no one is taking responsibility. $hit happens. You can get a new OEM non-R splitter on eBay for $385. The reason I recommended getting an R model...
Compressed air gets the majority of the dust off (even off of the ceramic coating) between detailings. Detailings involve a lift, spray bottle and a soft rag.
I don't think FoMoCo has responsibility for dealer-installed parts/accessories (not including a design or material flaw) . That responsibility falls squarely on the shoulders of the delivery dealership. I recommend you forego legal procedings (i.e. save your money and time) and purchase a new...
Buy a 2019 R. I owned a 2016 non-R and now drive a 2016 R. The R's ride is not harsh, just tighter. In normal mode (with non-tramlining Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires) it's a DD dream car. The carbon fiber wheels and rear wing alone will make it "collectable" as soon as it's out of production.
So did they put in a new fuel injector? I've had many-a-problem with misbehaving fuel injectors. Combustion really needs a consistent spray pattern for optimum burn, or unspent fuel finds its way over the O2 sensors, thru the CATs, over the O2 sensors and out the tailpipes...MIL...
The tire will be fine. Looks like the bead flange did as best it could to protect the rim. I'd superglue the damaged portion of the flange back in place and file/sand off the burrs on the wheel and hit it with touch up paint. No one will notice the damage unless they know where to look.
I've had a dealer do that too...:-(
You repeatedly "deep cycled" your previous battery. Automotive batteries are not deep cycle batteries (I've only seen those type batteries used for marine applications for 2-stroke outboard motors). I recommend attaching a trickle charger to your new...
A '16 Tech Pack can be had for "cheap" on the scale of GT350 pricing. Just realize, when you sell, it'll be sold for "cheap". I traded my '16 Tech in for a '16 R. My advice, buy once.
Ford definitely DOES NOT want dealerships to dig into the VOODOO. My R motor has recently come down with a rattling sound during warm starts. The initial feedback from the Ford tech line was ONLY remove the valve covers, oil pan and/or timing chain covers to diagnose the rattling sound. It'll...
Possible timing chain tensioner failure. Tensioners are controlled by oil pressure. If a TCT seal has failed you'll not only get that sound, but reduced oil flow to downstream components. Get it to a dealership ASAP. My main TCT has a failed seal and is scheduled for replacement Monday. I...
When you get it back, go over that thing with a fine-toothed comb. Look for unplugged electrical connectors, broken/missing/loose fasteners, unconnected vacuum hoses, missing covers, etc. I have to take mine in Monday for a main timing chain tensioner replacement (the chain rattles for a short...
They could have easily removed it from below with that lift. Either way, I hope they don’t have a pile of fasteners remaining after the reinstall.
Sweet color, BTW.
I was thinking the same thing. Looks like a lot of ancilliary parts/components were also removed. Engine/front subframe removal from below is what I would hope for if my engine ever requires replacement.
Maybe a lift was not available.
Ask for a discount on the price of a new clutch/flywheel and see what they will do for you. If it were my descision, I'd replace the entire clutch and be happy with a new engine and new clutch. If you aren't concerned with your clutch/flywheel wear, have them reinstall the original.
