Well done! You won't regret your decision. I can't stop smiling or laughing with joy everytime I glance at mine in the garage or drive it. GT350s are uniquely awesome rides.
I use a two-post lift to work on my GT350R. No need for steeda rails. The pinch-weld jacking points are robust enough for repeated use. The rubber jacking pads provided with my Derek Weaver lift haven't suffered at all.
I've had your exact tire setups in your question. The PSS are quiet and don't tramline. I didn't notice much difference in looks when they were transferred to the Project 6GR wheels. My Cup2 tires were removed quickly since those adhesive-coated tires tramline on groved roads so severely, the...
I say leave the car purely as it was from the factory; as designed, as tested, as produced. I agree with Bossing, improve your skills on the track, not the car. You vs track. That’s pure. If you want more horsepower in a ride, make a race car from the ground up. This car is awesome as is. Enjoy...
I understand what you mean. I have a '91 NSX and an Accord. The NSX does not drive like the Accord. I was looking to buy another (2017) NSX, then found the current GT350. No regrets going with the GT350, especially since the R has been tested as the faster track car of the two (and offerd at...
^^^Track Attack was a blast! Nothing like learning the capability of our track vehicles using Ford's vehicles, fuel, tires, brakes and contract instructors. I've bought one of both. New got me the invite to Tooele. Used got me an R covered under the original warranty.
I struggled as well with this instalation. I modified the catch can-to-intake tube (to shorten it) and attached it to the catch can with a SS worm gear clamp.
Race Red rocks. Very eye-catching, especially with the contrasting white OTT stripes. Don't worry about used. Original factory warranty will cover you. Obviously, get a CARFAX and look for the VIN tags.
My used '16 R got the "crap run out of it" and it's no worse for the wear. Bought it without driving it (parked inside a bumper-to-bumper showroom and saw it at an out-of-town dealership at closing time). Yea, the seat bolsters show wear, the rear quarters have rock chips, the Cup2s were worn...
Sounds like a great deal. I'd recommend getting it and immediately changing all the oils. I just changed the tranny and rear diff fluids on my "new to me" '16 R that had been tracked with 7,500 miles. The diff fluid was black.
For those considering the purchase of one of the pre-cut 3M Scotchgard PPF kits for the GT350 listed on ebay by customclearbras, I don't recommend. I applied the product to the front bumber yesterday. The large (wheel well-wheel well) and top section pieces needed to be exessively stretched in...
Non-Rs will depreciate on schedule as with any other automobile. Rs will also depreciate (but at a slower rate) then jump back up in 20-30 years or so. I think the trend away from large-displacement NA-engined vehicles will keep the "tree fiddys" valuable to the enthusiast. Look at what Pony...
You may want to steer toward a 2016 Tech Pack. As others "avoid them at ALL costs", you can pick one up on the cheap. I never tracked my '16 Tech Pack, but definitely used the full RPM range that is available...never had overheat issues. BTW, the Tech Pack seats are way more comfortable then...
