i did mine with the trans out and will do the same when putting the manifolds back on for the turbos. while far from necessary it was nice having the trans out of the way to work. when are stock auto driveshafts giving problems? im going to be putting a TT kit on soon and know i will need axles, trying to figure out if i need a DS as well.

Its not the headers im worried about, i installed the stainless power headers, i know whats involved there. its the coolant line splicing and vacuum line mods that im not sure about.

how does the weight of the street version compare to stock? whats the difference in the street vs race versions?

hmmm i guess i did word it a bit wrong. i assumed it was easiest to come out the bottom and based on that assumption i didnt specify. I meant to drop the whole thing out to do the work vs doing it in the car.

i currently have a 4c. LPF is telling me to keep the 4c as it would help to build boost. Circle d says that i should use the 3b instead (which is what i have heard from other sources). I am waiting to hear back from the tuner on his opinion. What is everyone else running?

i am one who regrets not going 5c also, i have a GT350 IM so that may have something to do with it? I went from 11.9 with 1.85 60' to 11.64 with 1.64 60' and i think it has a little more in it

Hopefully just a simple question for those who have pulled the motor before... i will be removing headers and installing an LPF TT kit and OPG/CS and a different stall. would it be faster to pull the motor and do all of this with the motor out of the car vs fighting everything in the car?

my 17x4.5 darkstars with mt sportsman sr weigh only 8-9lbs less (weighed them just forgot exact amount) than the 20x9 velgens i took off. hard to imagine any measurable gain with that little difference. i have contemplated selling the fronts and just keeping the rears for track use...

just ordered some dark stars and now looking at tires. people seem to be all over the place. any reason not to run a 26"? I would assume since there is less rubber, it would be lighter (though marginally).
