The camber plates are purely for track use so you can adjust for aggressive negative camber. You do not need them to get a street alignment. They are an absolute waste of time if you aren't tracking the car.
The "suspension tuning" is just marketing speak for "it has a track alignment" (more...
I have a non-HP Mach 1 with added HP wheels. After 6 months I switched out the Pilot Sport 4 tires to Continental EC2s with 35 profile sidewall. The difference in ride quality was quite noticeable.
I will say this though, if you're already considering changing tires, and arent going to track...
^ great advice. To add on to that, all those tires have 30 profile sidewalls as well. A 35 or 40 profile will ride more comfortably on the street. I switched to Continental Extreem Contact 2s as well.
OP, is sounding more and more like a non HP Mach 1 might be in your future. 😎
Just a couple observations based in your comments -
The dartiness in the steering you described is called tramlining. It tends to happen with wide performance tires and cars with track oriented alignments (like the...
Thanks. I only put about 6k a year on the car, so I just change the oil once a year. I'm coming due in a couple months, so I will change it early before the track day. After that I'll just keep an eye on the oil life and go from there. It'll be my first track day so I won't be getting crazy...
There are lots of low mile used M1s because many were expensive garage queens that the owners simply didn't drive and couldn't justify the payment. I've yet to meet any M1 owner who traded the car because they didn't like it.
As for the noises, all gen 3 coyotes are noisy. It's not a M1 thing...
I think he means the Mach 1 is somewhere between the GT and GT350. 🤣 Which is probably accurate.
I do think many non-M1 owners wrongly assume they are track only cars though. Unlike the GT350, the Mach 1 is track capable car with great road manners. I DD mine with no complaints. Like I said...
As mentioned in a previous thread, your 6th gear shutter isn't normal and you should probably have it looked at. My car doesn't do that.
I will say that comparing my '23 M1 to my 2015 GT was night and day in terms of handling and ride quality. The GT was a nice cruiser, the Mach feels like a...
Yes, the premium option was mostly interior upgrades such has leather, a larger touch-screen, and drive mode toggles.
The PP should have 6 piston brembo brakes on the front, a Torsen differential, an upgraded radiator, larger rear rims/tires. But by the dealers description, I'm not sure if they...
GT350s and Mach 1s both have magnaride with adjustable drive modes. The ride quality is a night and day improvement compared to pp1 cars, which are known for their harsh ride.
I think you're leaning in the right direction.
if you are trying to decide between HP and non-HP, Understand that the Handling Package on the Mach 1 is essentially just wider wheels and tires, slightly stiffer springs, and plastic appearance bling. All of which can be added to a non-HP car...
