  10. A daily driver that isn’t boring

Yeah, I'm talking about the coupes that came out 2015-2019. But you are right, the 6-speed was only available on the turbo 4 cylinder. Id prefer the V6 auto personally. But the coupes are supposed ride and handle better than a BMW. I'm considering looking at one for a DD.
  11. A daily driver that isn’t boring

Anyone ever drive the Cadillac ATS coupe? They were available with a strong v6 and a 6 speed. They're supposed to ride and handle amazing.
  12. So what's the deal with the 2K-rpm rattle?

But the DI pump does cycle. That's literally the discussion here. And of it were piston slap it would do it at start up, at idle, and in neutral. It would not be dependent on only a specific RPM band, under a specific load.
  13. So what's the deal with the 2K-rpm rattle?

I just made an interesting observation on the way home. I know this is an older thread, but someone mentioned that it goes away in higher gears. I have a 6 speed, so I tied it out. 14. So what's the deal with the 2K-rpm rattle?

That made no difference for me. The 2k rattle generally doesnt change with oil or ceretec. Don't confuse this with the BBQ tick.
  15. So what's the deal with the 2K-rpm rattle?

No. Not tuned. It's the same rattle they all make.
  16. PPF Late in Life

Its done by good shops everyday my friend. Just don't let the 3 stooges take it off and you'll be fine.
  17. PPF Late in Life

PPF removal doesn't damage paint, unless you have some janky spray job or it wasn't applied correctly.
  18. PPF Late in Life

I personally can't think of cons, other than the cost. If your car lives in the sun PPF won't last indefinitely. But it doesn't sound like that's an issue. Modern PPF has come a long way. If you get a scratch or scrape it'll self heal with a little heat.
