Yeah, I'm talking about the coupes that came out 2015-2019. But you are right, the 6-speed was only available on the turbo 4 cylinder. Id prefer the V6 auto personally. But the coupes are supposed ride and handle better than a BMW. I'm considering looking at one for a DD.
But the DI pump does cycle. That's literally the discussion here.
And of it were piston slap it would do it at start up, at idle, and in neutral. It would not be dependent on only a specific RPM band, under a specific load.

I personally can't think of cons, other than the cost. If your car lives in the sun PPF won't last indefinitely. But it doesn't sound like that's an issue.
Modern PPF has come a long way. If you get a scratch or scrape it'll self heal with a little heat.
