Pricing has been out for a while, so that shouldn't be a surprise. You can top 100k if you tick every option box.
Base C8 + Z51 + mag ride = 67k and will be a killer track car. Well, wait a year or two and pick a used one up for way less
Coyote actually weighs less, at least from what I can find after a quick google. Coyote dry weight 444 lbs, LT1 465 lbs (although don't know if that's wet or dry).

Confirmed: C8.R is 5.5 liter FPC. Coming to an unspecified future C8 street version due to FIA homologation rules that require at least 300 engines in road going cars.
I think I read some snippet that said the took belt changes and general maintenance into account when they designed the engine bay of the C8. Although couldn't find anything about belts on a quick google search, it looks like they at least have cutouts in the underbody aero panels for the oil...
I'll just comment on the dry-sump engine part.. Corvette's have had a dry sump option since at least the C6 ZO6. I think the majority of C7 models are dry sump. Not exactly rocket surgery to change the oil in the C7, and I doubt GM made it more difficult on the C8.
*60k sports car. And not the deciding factor, just pointing out a subjective look that I don't like. And wheels cracking? I think I vaguely remember hearing something about the c5 or c6 having an issue but nothing lately. 'Wheels always crack' is the same level of argument as 'all coyote...
That's my assumption as well.. but GM never had an issue before doing the wide body for the hi-po versions.
From the Jalopnik post on the video:
"Now, before the armchair driver coaching begins, a few caveats. These are Matt’s first sighting laps at Thunderhill West and his first time in the...
Does sound a bit disappointing. My NPP exhaust was more aggressive than that. But yeah, those shifts are fast.
I really dislike how tucked in the rear wheel is / bulbous rear fender. The front 3/4 shots always show that and my eye goes straight to how that rear wheel is hiding in there. It's...
It's been a long week.
Well, the base is 3.0 seconds so the GT500 would have to do sub 3 to beat it ;)
Top speed then? But I guess since the GT500 is limited to 180 and the current ZL1 / C7 and the C8 beat that those are all faster?
Cool! So it's 0-60 time is under 3 seconds? And your uncle has driven both back to back and has the numbers to show the GT500 is faster? Please share, especially if you have the facts!
Sooo... you think the C8 has been in development for literally 40 years? Can I have some of what you're smoking?
<cue ancient pushrod truck engine joke>
You know the GT500 costs more (base vs base) than the C8, right? Better hope that lowly C8 that's down over 250hp doesn't come close.
The C5 is like.. the worst interior of the modern Vette's. It's peak terrible GM. Still trying to figure out why you traded your GT350 for a C5. I love pop up headlights as much as anyone, but I would have given them up for a C6 grand sport
You may feel safer in the 944, but the c5 has the...
Well, Mustang GT PP1 301A isn't the easiest to decipher
Hopefully there's some EB HPP vs turbo 1LE comparisons coming up. Stang will win overall due to the power advantage, I'm sure, but the handling comparison will be neat.
Just trying to keep it interesting :D
The GT500 is gonna be a beast, no doubt about it. But it faces some stiff competition.
Well, you can buy and drive a C7 Z06 right now so I'd say it's infinitely faster than a GT500 at the moment
Given that you guys care mostly about the straight line...
So you'll just have to spend the 68k or around there for the C8 Z51. Or if you want one that's faster right now you can pick up a C7 Z06 or ZR1. Of course the ZR1 is quite a bit more expensive but we all know there's some deals going around now for the Z06.
We already know - 60k.
Oh yeah...

The PP2 only needed one lap for you folks to consider it faster than the 1LE, so I expect the same for the C8 :D
If by everything else, you mean only 1/4 mile. Even the base C8 will beat it around a track. Hell, they didn't have to limit the top speed to 180 like Ford did with the GT500
Have you driven a GT500? Have access to some information about it that's not public knowledge? There's just as much...
