I purchased everything myself through various vendors and TFB is just doing the install and alignment. I'm crossing my fingers that it all goes smoothly; will definitely post more impressions of working with them after the work is complete and I drive the car for a bit.
Yesterday I dropped off my car at TFB Performance at the Sonoma Raceway (formerly Sears Point). Tim Barber and his crew are known as suspension gurus at the track, and he gave me a very reasonable estimate to install the following goodies and corner balance and align the car afterwards:
-Ford...
This is very true. But just to make sure that anyone isn't confused:
The Roush AB with H-Pipe (or X) is LOUD AF :headbang:
It's literally twice as loud (at least) as the Roush AB with the stock resonator.
In addition to being much much louder, I feel the exhaust tone itself is nicer overall...
I'm in the exact same boat...watching this thread closely...
285 square vs beefy 325/285 staggered setup.
Lots of performance vehicles come with staggered wheels, but I've always heard that square is better in a general sense for "balance" in handling, so I don't really know which makes the most...
The Roush sounds really nice IMO with the stock resonator in place.
I added an H-Pipe last weekend and it's a hell of a lot louder, probably twice as loud, but I also think the tone is nicer with the H-Pipe, so it's a win-win. It's not subtle though...your wife will NOTICE as will everyone...
My recommendation is this:
-clamp and tighten to manufacturer spec.
-run car for about one month
-check and re-tighten all clamps
You may find that some or none of the clamps have loosened up slightly, but it's always worth checking after about a month. I've never had to re-tighten a...
Is anyone having a set of M600s in a bronze finish made? I want to see them on a car in brushed bronze. I'm trying to decide between the M350s and the M600s for my car for later in the summer...
Hey man,
Actually it was your videos early on that got me to look seriously at the Roush AB on its own initially, then adding the H-Pipe after a few months. :D
DennisP
One additional quick note:
I now understand what some folks have referred to as a "metallic" sound with respect to the stock resonator. I didn't notice it much as an issue prior to getting rid of the resonator, but now that it's gone, the overall tone is much nicer, without that faint...
Yes indeed. Took her out earlier and really let it rip on a back road straightaway near my house and damn does it sing in the upper RPMs!:headbang:
I did correct the muffler dude about Mishimoto being made in the USA, but I got the feeling he thought I was a dummy for not realizing he was...
Welp, that escalated quickly. ROUSH AB + Mishimoto H-Pipe = angry beast! Lol
It's loud AF, but in the best way. I can't imagine going back to the ROUSH on its own; it's just too badass sounding. On my auto trans car, it's absolutely fine in a normal mode and absolutely crazy in Sport+, which...
Reading these threads, it's amazing how different everyone's opinions are. :)
For the Roush AB with X/H-Pipe combo, I've read everything from "it's only loud when I stomp on it" to "it drones and is obnoxiously loud" LOL.
It's really hard to figure it out without hearing the combination in...
I agree- the Mishimoto is extremely well built and has the extra welded brace that the others do not for added stiffness. Pricey but completely worth it.
I'm curious to see how this pans out as well...
I don't know that we know that these are "exactly" the same as the M600 wheels, but if the MRR M350/SVE S350 wheels are an indication, they will be very very close. The thing is, in both cases, these are "replica" wheels, so the design is a copy...
