I think there are guys that modify the attachment method of the lower splitter to make it easily removable. Then they put it on only for track day (and drive carefully to the track lol). You might try search. Meanwhile I'm pondering making my own lower splitter on my GT.

I never got the top of the rear shock off. It turned out that the sound was bad aftermarket toe link bearings seizing and releasing. I installed a different brand and all is good.

@NightmareMoon has good advice as always. 50% remaining thickness of 10mm (new) pad material (includes the groove depth) is 5mm. Subtract the groove depth and the remaining "operating" pad thickness is 5-3=2mm. That is pretty much a good time to throw them out. Or perhaps throw them in your kit...
