I cleaned my cone filter. Used compressed air from inside out. Then warm water wash with some dish soap in a 5 gallon bucket.
I run the Outerwears pre filter. Now I only have to wash the OW filter, and the cone stays perfectly clean. I can even throw that pre filter into the wash.
OP To simplify things for you, usually CHT approaching 250 will limit you. We add aftermarket or DIY oil coolers for that and that usually takes care of it for up to 30 min sessions.
Once that is handled and you are driving faster the diff will overheat, at 290. Adding a diff cooler solves...
I think there are guys that modify the attachment method of the lower splitter to make it easily removable. Then they put it on only for track day (and drive carefully to the track lol).

Meanwhile I'm pondering making my own lower splitter on my GT.
I never got the top of the rear shock off.
It turned out that the sound was bad aftermarket toe link bearings seizing and releasing. I installed a different brand and all is good.
My sweetie said she was going in to have her nails done. She asked me what color to paint them. I said, "Hmm, how about orange with dual blue stripes?"
So she did!

50% remaining thickness of 10mm (new) pad material (includes the groove depth) is 5mm. Subtract the groove depth and the remaining "operating" pad thickness is 5-3=2mm. That is pretty much a good time to throw them out. Or perhaps throw them in your kit...
