From my short, rain soaked drive last night I could tell the throttle response was much improved. Hoping today dries up as I'm still in the dark as to what it's capable of.
I can only speak from my experience but mine catches oil. A very small amount, maybe 1/2 ounce every 1000 miles, consistently. Been that way for the past 16,000 miles.
I don't rev it up before releasing the clutch. It's a balance of feeding it throttle and clutch, as much of both as possible, while keeping the tires at the limit of traction. Too much of either and your spinning, wheel hopping etc. So yeah clutch slip.
So this morning a tuner from Livernois showed up????
Oh yeah that's right I broke down and ordered one. Yesterday. Guess I couldn't hold out any longer. (Lets not get into a debate of tuner, tuning, devices, vendors etc.... I've been paying lots of attention for quite a while now and...
Having the same setup here is my advice.
1. Lower your tire pressure to about 25 psi when you are trying to get a good launch. Don't leave it there for daily driving.
2. Practice. You can get a good launch without tire hop on the stock suspension but it takes some finesse. If you give it too...
Yeah I can't really justify a 3 1/2 hour drive to get an alignment. Although the idea is tempting.
It's starting to sound like there are no good shops in Central Virginia. Or at least I can't seem to find one. Certainly there would be someplace decent with VIR being so close.
Why not? Since mid January I've driven 16,500 miles. That would be about 2200 miles a month.
Now if you took into consideration that I was out of town for work for 10 of those weeks it goes up to over 3100 miles a month for when I've been home.
Too much driving really.:headbonk:
Okay after living here for 8 years I still haven't found an alignment shop I trust. Of the at least 10 different shops I've used not one has gotten it right on any vehicle I've owned. After lowering I took it to get aligned. Drove fine but steering wheel horribly off center after alignment. Was...
Another excellent choice is Delo full synthetic. I switched to it from the Rotella T6 on my 6.0 powerstroke. That engine is absolute murder on oil and the Delo worked as well as the T6 IMO and is priced lower typically.
So the T6 is a great option but not the only viable oil out there. Thought...
My car has spent almost 9 weeks this year parked at the airport. I go out of my way to find a spot where a car can only park on one side, and then pull to the far side of the spot. So far I've had Zero problems. Would I prefer to not park it at the airport? Absolutely but it's just not always an...
I'll chime in because my co-worker has an 09' WRX and we've run each other in the 1/8th. I'll admit it was my first run at the strip in a car ever. (bikes yes).
So yeah it's an 09' , not a 15' but here's what happened. Both completely stock.
He launched, no drama, ran an 8.6 at 79 mph.
I...
I am over 27 mpg hand calculated in over 12,000 miles but don't spend much time in the city. For comparison I just rented a Fusion this last week with the 2.0 EB. In 60 miles of Chicago driving I averaged 12.8 mpg. Using that as a baseline 20 sounds pretty good.
All these panicky replies. I did mine on the floor of my garage with basic tools and an impact. Also the scary rental spring compressor by myself front and rear in about 3 1/2 hours. You can too. Watch the CJ Pony parts video a couple times. They make it look easy. It actually is.
Get a 3 lb...
Yes thus happens to me too. I've noticed that when it won't unlock, if I put my hand on the handle but don't pull it, then remove my hand and wait a moment it will unlock. Then I can open it. Doesn't work every time but almost.
As mentioned above programming issues. Would be nice if Ford came...
Yep same here. EB PP so the same brakes you've got. I've only noticed it if I've left the car outside and it rains. In 11,000 miles it's happened 3 times. Not much. Thinking it might be prompted by the flash rust the rotors get after a rain storm but I fail to understand why that would cause a...
