Overall I'm happy with it. Been tuned the last 5000 miles and never had a single instance where it didn't behave exactly like a stock vehicle except faster. It's seamless from a driver's point of view until you mash the pedal. Then it's obvious.
I debated a different setup. Datalogs etc.. And...
Got a wild hair this evening and went out to see what I could do.
5.1 seconds. New personal best. Considering it's a manual I'm happy with that.
Previous best was 5.9 when it was completely stock.
The best thing about the P-Zeros is that they wear out really quickly. Then you are forced to put a real tire on in its place.
I chose Michelin PSS. What a huge improvement, especially in the rain. Better dry grip as well. And improved steering feel. I would say Ford is doing themselves a...
What are you talking about? You know this how? I understand your speculations are just that speculations so lets put some real world numbers behind it.
At 23k miles my lifetime since new hand calculated mileage (yes I am that anal:thumbsup:) averages to 28.3 mpg. Car is showing 29.4. I drive...
And lets not forget the slightly less unique, but no less ugly. Aztec.
Or how about a 1990 Buick Skylark. Also very unique.
If exclusivity is your agenda all of those would be excellent choices.
91' Tempo anyone?
My old 97 4.6 club wagon is over 400K right now. I gave it to the band in 2006.
My 93 F350 7.3 is sitting at 265K.
My 87' BMW 535is Turbo had over 260k when I sold it.
My 07' Mustang GT has over 150k right now.
The 2015 is at 22k since January.
From my experience if you live in an area where the cops don't have better things to do you'll get harrassed/tickets regularly. I had 30% on my side windows on my 07' GT. They were already tinted when I bought the car.
I had cops going the other direction on the highway turn around and pull...
That's terrible. I've pulled a 5.9 stock, before tune, with 2 full size men in the car. I'm just an average guy. That was with the PP and MT82. And I didn't build boost. Launched off idle. Just spins otherwise.
As mentioned above, why would you post up crap times? Do you think you're outing...
Seeing as how the Coyote Aluminator short blocks can be had for under 5k, if this comes out at a price point near where I think it will, I'm putting one in the shop. Looking forward to an aftermarket rich 2016.
Now this interests me. I'd have pulled the trigger on their shocks already but want to get a matched setup. Didn't realize they were making struts as well.
A disappointment? Hmm. You say you haven't purchased one yet. That is part of the problem right there.
The S550 is a great car. I went for the EB because I just wanted the mileage this time around. Tuned it's acceptably fast for the street. It'll get faster as time goes on.
I'm at...
So having waited forever it seems, emailed both Koni and Bilstein months ago (no reply from either FYI) I decided everyone one was just being quiet heading towards SEMA. So now that SEMA is here I'll ask the question.
Is anyone making aftermarket struts yet?
Thanks.
Last winter I drove on the pzeros all winter. Down to 0*F. No problems. Just don't drive like an idiot. No issues. Two weeks ago I put on Michelin PSS all around and they are so much better than the Pirellis in the rain I'll never consider the pzero again. No loss of dry grip, maybe more and...
You nailed it. And once you do finally get in the right lane to pass them (because they will never yield) they speed up dramatically. CRVs are just the same too.
I refer to these people as passholes.
