The main risk to insurers is that of third parties. I guess they figure you're going to be more careful with a 30K car than with a regular vehicle.
Mine seems to be the same quote no matter which car I choose. Current Focus ST, Mustang EB or Mustang v8 at about £330.

On my old Fabia vRS (diesel) I noticed that using premium fuel gave more MPG, so it worked out the same per mile. I tend to give my ST the premium stuff, but haven't tested whether this is the case for this too.
Yes, I'd heard that the extended warranty wasn't really worth the paper it was written on with Ford (lots of exclusions).
That's good then if you can extend the original warranty. Any ideas on pricing?
