I wouldn't say he's scared maybe he is testing another budget friendly option to someone. I'm going to try the truck manifold as well as the 18 gt manifold
In defense of op he hasn't once said that the f150 intake was better than the 18 gt or other aftermarket intake options. He pretty much saying the 18 f150 is another option and has its use and a budget friendly up grade for some. Which he has tested so thumps up to him.
3c 3.31 or 3.55 gear. I been following Alex Flores build his 6r80 has a 3.73 gear with a 6f converter and the gt 350 intake manifold and it's pretty bad ass
Myself I could care less about peak power. Give me my average power. After I try this combo. I will try the 18gt along with my gear and converter swap again if I don't like the intake few hundred bucks and time
He didn't test it but if you really listen to his video he's saying in so many words that all intakes have there use depending on what the owner wants from there car. Like me im giving the 18+ truck manifold a try if I don't like im on to something else no big deal plus im going with a 3.31 gear...
I happen to know someone who did that but he only races 1/8th mile this was on a gen 1 and the car ran faster time. He later put a mustang intake on the f150 motor not a 18 + intake and still ran a faster time then his old gen 1 motor. Again its all in what you want out of your car. Alex flores...
I mean everyone has the right to what ever they want to do with their cars that's the fun thing about being into cars. What works for one might not work for another. So until I try something I'm definitely not going to knock it. I never tell anyone how to spend there money.
Also Flores did a intake manifold comparison video and pretty much came to the conclusion that the stock 15-17 manifold was better for overall performance than the 18 gt manifold and the boss even though they did make more power in the upper rpm range. My opinion is they all have there benefits...
Why is it so hard for some to understand that all mustang owners don't buy there cars or upgrade them just to run 1/4 mile. I don't race but must of the tracks near me and street races are 1/8th mile
