I agree! I think I'm going to skip opg and crank sprocket and take my chances. I'm sure they break but I wonder if it's more of a fear spread on the internet. Internet exaggerates. I'll probably break mine lol if so I'll build motor and use that 2000 dollars toward motor instead of prevention.
Congrats! color on whipple really pops! did you get the wiring harness with the fans? I think that was the last thing mentioned you might want with kit? or is it put into the kit now? I think it allows te fans to be controlled by the pcm?
That would be to easy. Complete kit is all you need unless u have a tuner. Probably only 6 lbs a boost I guess for 650 crank. I can't imagine this low boost you would need to do anything else.
im sure hellion will give you there opinion but I think the general consensus of the forum will say 650 hp probably wont shorten motor life. are you talking 650 at the crank or wheel? If your talking rwhp I would say you wont shorten motor life but there will be more stress on everything due...
Twin turbo
At the wanna go fast .5 mile a 2015 went 168 and 172 I think with a hellion tt kit. 800 Rwhp. I would think with 1500 hp your car would go faster? This car was stock auto.
Sounds good I was all set to get fans but I think I may be thrifty. I don't drive in stop and go traffic so I'm thinking of saving money and eliminating need for wiring harness.
What would a shop charge to change both opg and crank sprocket? Is timing and crank sprocket same? What comes on the aluminator engines? I guess I'll spend 2000 dollars to install these? This stinks about these parts. I guess u might as well do the shortblock if your going to change the gears
Turbo
I guess you originally had 64 turbos on car? Your liking the 55's better? At these boost levels I figured the 62's would be best? I guess there is tradeoffs?
To me the corvette is way more refined! maybe its just the suspension but you can feel the vette better. maybe the lower seating position! For me I like driving a stock car without modifying it so corvette had the horsepower and handling I was looking for. The fit and finish is better on...
I would buy the zo6 but im partial to vettes. I drove mustangs when I was young moved to corvettes. I sold my c6 vette to get c7 but found out legroom and headroom decreased so I bought a mustang. If I could fit in a new z06 I would have one! I like my mustang but the vette is way better...
hopefully someone in the know will chime in. I have read all the forced induction threads and no one has mentioned pinning the crank. I know on the new c7 corvette you don't.
