So I never knew you could log boost via the sct. I cannot believe you don't see more threads on it.
I finally got mine all hooked up and working as it should. Did take a few days on the phone with sct. Basically you use a map sensor and tie it into the FireWire cable and it converts...
Think the seat pressure was 69 on the livernois springs. Now full disclosure they were not shimmed when they were installed. Installer thought they were drop in springs. I found after the fact but figured they still should've been enough at that low of boost.
Livernois claims there...
I thought the trap was pretty good. Not thrilled with the et. This was on heavy ass wheels full weight. I'm gonna say 4100 with driver.
I'm working on it brotha. No transbrake
Spinning a little..........
I did the aluminator route and sold the old motor to offset the cost. I'd of been better off building. I still had to have the cs put in and I did valve springs as well. What a fuck story that was. I installed the livernois springs by the recommendation of my tuner and was getting valve...
So got it all hooked up. What a piece of cake. Had I known it was that easy I'd of tried this a long time ago. With the stall was able to set it at 3100 and it holds and builds 4 lbs of boost. I'd like to think it should make a huge difference on the 60'.
I'd find out what your issue is before you throw a boost controller in the mix. You probably don't even need the boost controller. Check your springs in the wastegate. Make sure they are the correct ones for the boost you want. Make sure you don't have any boost leaks also.
Do you datalog and any chance you can datalog boost? Or videotape the gauge. Better than guessing on what's going on. I'd suggest ken b but he's now putting people on a waiting list. Might be worth the wait though.
Turned up to 17 should be over 950, or close to it. That's a lot of power.
Oh I suspected right away what the problem was but it wasn't like it was an easy fix. At what I spent now I could've had a sleeved block.
There's a streetcar shootout I'm going to try and make a week from sat at Byron. If I can't go it'll definately be the week after.
We went...
Well after problems and more problems I believe I finally have the car running as it should. When I bought the aluminator I was talking with John at hellion, and after talking about my goals he said I'd most likely need valve springs. So not wanting to get on the dyno and have issues once I...
10 degrees of knock........... whoa!!!!
I say this to everyone that's trying to find out if knock is false or not. Put in actual race gas not just octane boost and see if it goes away.
Your in Chicago....... I'll run you.
