  1. How many GTs are Owned by Seniors?

63 and still kickin with my antimatter blue GT PP.
  2. 87...89...91..93..Octane ??

Until my POJ DD craps out, my GT is not. So, for now, the 93 octane tune remains.
  3. Need some help. My Mustang started making this really loud whining noise at idle and with revs. It then started stalling and gear grinding in neutral.

Possibly something the serpentine belt is spinning. Try removing the belt and cranking it. If that's not it, I second the thought that the starter is not disengaging.
  4. Best Resonator Delete for Active Exhaust

Actually, the entire resonator body acts has the crossover. The photo shows the resonator guts after fiberglass packing removed, but it's clear that exhaust pulses are shared between the pipes.
  5. Best Resonator Delete for Active Exhaust

Considering my 1989 5.0 made 225 hp, and my 2021 5.0 makes 460 hp, I'm guessing the engineers had to look for every hp they could find. And yes, both have some form of crossover. It would definitely be interesting to see dyno numbers on the coyote with straight pipes on otherwise stock exhaust...
  6. Best Resonator Delete for Active Exhaust

    https://www.carid.com/articles/are-x-pipes-and-h-pipes-better-than-straight-pipes-on-dual-exhaust-systems.html and https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/1504-x-and-h-pipes-add-easy-horsepower-but-which-is-best-for-your-ride/ and...
  7. Best Resonator Delete for Active Exhaust

I knew there was a reason for "sharing", but had to research the "why": Due to crank design and firing order, most V engines (6 and above total cylinders) send multiple exhaust pulses down one pipe close together, causing back pressure. At the time these exhaust pulses are traveling down the...
  8. Best Resonator Delete for Active Exhaust

Muffler delete and resonator delete without the ability to turn the volume down with AE would probably be a bit much for me. But, to each their own - go for it !
  9. How many miles can you put on a Mustang V8 before it starts falling apart?

I put 255,000 miles on a '89 5.0 fox body that was burning a little oil (not bad), and still running strong when I traded it. I drove it like I stole it every day, but maintained it always. I see no reason the coyote shouldn't do the same or better.
  10. Best Resonator Delete for Active Exhaust

I've got a C&L H-pipe (American Muscle) waiting for me to have time, and motivation to install. It's a lesser stainless (409), but it has the brace at the downstream end, and the cross pipe is the same size has the long pipes. Plus, it's under $150 before tax.
  11. Shopping list to add subwoofer/amp to base car

WOW ! Nice ! Afraid I didn't put that kind of time, effort, or dollars into mine.
  12. Shopping list to add subwoofer/amp to base car

I used an AudioControl LC2i 2-channel signal converter and tapped into the rear speaker wires below the packing shelf (within trunk). The LC2i has a feature that turns on itself and passes 12v to your amp's remote On when the LC2i receives audio signal on the speaker wires. So, no need to find...
  13. Emissions won't pass because of a possible Tune was installed and turned off the O2 sensors???

Another route: Ford ECUs are available on the big internet auction site for approx. $250 (I think IDs would have to match). Some key/security programming would probably have to be done by a good automotive locksmith, or dealership. With the above performed, you would have a choice of a)...
  14. Low dust brake pads for Brembo

Wasn't thinking about the Brembo fronts when I suggested a C-clamp. So yes, GTP's dual plate spreader is the way to go. Unfortunately, most dual plate spreaders look to require removal of the caliper (somewhat defeating the purpose of the non-floating caliper with quick change pads). I did...
  15. Low dust brake pads for Brembo

A C-clamp works well has a spreader tool, and you might already have one.
  16. psi

Yes, and that is what I do. But, that morning (here) might be 30 deg. or less, and that morning might be 70 deg. or more. That's likely 3 psi or more difference. Also, I've seen a 60 deg. morning go to a 90 deg. high, and I've seen that 60 deg. morning go to a 60 deg. high. So, IMO, setting...
  17. psi

The door sticker says 32 COLD. Now, please define COLD? I usually run 3- 5 over sticker. I find it a good compromise between best wear (5 - 8 over) and best comfort (sticker).
  18. Massachusetts Three Motorcraft cabin filters and one oil filter

They were sold to me in February.
  19. Oil drain plug

I installed a UPR 3025-02 on my first oil change. On that oil change My drain pan/container ran over because it was receiving more oil than it could drain into its container. Plus, I really don't trust the plastic plugs. The UPR plug I installed allows for controlled release of oil from the...
