Are the clearances mentioned above the result of your shaving and relocating the two possible contact points or were these measurements prior to those adjustments? I trying to figure out how much I can widen a 20x9.5 wheel if I’m not going to run spacers or make adjustments under the wheel well.

You can easily tuck 11” wide wheels without a widebody so add to that whatever amount you added with the flares and you’re maxing out your set up. Be sure to get the proper offset on your wheels too.

I know the wait is killing you. Did you have the steeda shock mounts installed to get that extra .25” of clearance? That’s my next move.

I got them on and dig them. The 275/40/20 were 1/32nd too tall and the spring perch just barely touches it.

what was yor wheel width, offset, suspension mod list and did you have any issues with that tall of a tire? I’m getting a set that tire size for next to nothing and wanted to know if it would be fine (20x9.5 ET 45) without or with spacers (15mm front and 8mm rear).

It’s crazy how different the ‘real world’ widths can be between brands. MPSS 325/30/19s are 13 3/8ths unmounted and around 13” mounted on an 11” wheel.

The ruler pic looks like those are between 12.25”-12.5” in overall width?

Edited. I looked at the numbers again and 20x10 ET 35 becomes 20X12 ET 60.5 after the widening so it looks like you'll be good after the Steeda parts.

Yeah. I was thinking a set of forged 20's was still $4k+ but there is a company out there selling sets for $2,600 now. But I honestly kind of like making something out of these old OEM wheels.

These are 20x9.5 offset 45. Weldcraft seems to widen in .25” increments.

I’m getting a set of OEM 20x9.5 forged wheels with tires from an unrelated brand, having the center bores redrilled to the mustang size then sending to Weldcraft to widen to 11.25”. With a 10mm spacer, it should put them centered in the wheelwell.

Ha, okay, thank you. Yes, point taken. I was curious if the inside room was there or if 20’s / taller tires had to stay further away from the suspension side than say a a 27” tire for some reason. I appreciate the feedback!

I think that’ll be 1/2” too wide to the inside. Widen it 1.5” and you should be okay. This comparison is approximate (your poke won’t change from the left column unless you add spacers). On 20x11 wheels, 50 is the highest offset I’ve seen people run and it puts the inset number around 190mm...
