  1. What's your favorite feature?

#1) Digital Dash #2) Adaptive cruise control #3) Automatic highlights #4) Apple CarPlay
  2. Would you pick the same color . . .

I am 50/50 with Ruby Red and White. My 2018 is Ruby Red. My previous 2011 was white. I love them both. Here is my Ruby Red with 17” wheels.
  3. My Experience with my 2015 GT S550 after 2 1/2 Years.

Original post and after replies proves to me some people have good luck with cars and some don’t. I had a 2011 (first year car) bought used with 13,500 miles and had no problems except paint bubbling at the front of the hood. No real mechanical problems. Just oil changes, tires and wiper blades...
  4. Sort of disappointed with the digital dash

Very surprised the F150 doesn’t have the nice digital dash the Mustang has. The F150 is the flagship product of Ford and usually the F150 gets the newest feature before any other of their products. Like turn signals on the side mirrors. Mustang was way behind the F150 on that. I love my digital...
  5. BMW 8 Series looks a lot like Mustangs

It starts at $112,000 though, LOL! I thought my sticker price was high!
  6. Another great oil article from machine lubrication

Could be or is it? Taxi test said there was no difference in engine wear. That’s good but, was there more sludge in the engine in conventional oil? How often did they change their oil? If both oils were changed at 3000 miles, sludge was probably low on both. If you take it to 5000, 7000 or...
  7. Another great oil article from machine lubrication

https://www.machinerylubrication.com/Read/31395/engine-oils-filters How do you all like what it says about the taxi cab tests? I didn’t know synthetic blends can not contain more than 30% synthetic oil. More info is always good!
  8. Buy a 2016/17 or wait for 2018 prices to drop?

It’s save money with older S550 Mustangs vs spending more on the 2018 mostly. I have the ecoboost but, the only reason I wanted the GT was the exhaust sound. The 2018 sounds the best ever. Especially with the active exhaust. I do have the digital dash and do love it. 10 speed automatic is real...
  9. Still happy you bought a 10 sp auto?

The only manual transmission I ever bought was a 2008 GT Mustang. It was fun but, eventually you get tired of shifting gears. If you ever get caught in a traffic jam a manual trans is the worst. Terrible actually. So, I love this 10 speed automatic. I use sport mode as a city mode and...
  10. Went with 17” wheels, taller sidewalls, smoother ride

Thanks, I had a 2011 with factory polished wheels that looked a lot like these so, I wanted that if I could find it. These are pretty close. I know I am in the minority wanting smaller wheels. One great thing is the tires cost much less. I bought Firestone Destination LE2 tire Rack.com for $91...
  11. Went with 17” wheels, taller sidewalls, smoother ride

Bought these Sport Edition A9 17” silver painted wheels. Took off factory 19” polished wheels and terrible riding Perreli P Zero Nero tires. Rides much better now, quieter and getting 3-4 mpg better gas mileage. Yes, I’m older and want a better ride. Not worried about how fast I can take a...
  12. Article says turbo engines should change oil at 3000 miles

Another good article on API SN Plus oil. https://pqiablog.com/2018/04/10/times-are-changing/
  13. Article says turbo engines should change oil at 3000 miles

5th paragraph down is where the article says this. Very good article whether you agree with that or not. I’m sure 3000 is the safest for your car and keeps the engine bay cleanest. https://www.machinerylubrication.com/Read/562/oil-change-filter-sensors
  14. Question about oil specification: WSS-M2C945-A vs WSS-M2C945-B1

Good luck getting the oil you want to use. The good thing is, you have a GT. The Ecoboost Mustangs are the only ones that I know of that have the LSPI problem. Cars have been having engine knocking forever but, only the ecoboost turbos are the ones Ford are having problems with. No way am I...
  15. Question about oil specification: WSS-M2C945-A vs WSS-M2C945-B1

I don’t want to say what’s safe because of the LSPI issues. What seems to be safest is using an oil with API SN Plus approval and that would be Pennzoil Platinum but not Ultra Platinum for some reason. Here is the page showing Pennzoil Platinum being SN Plus approved...
  16. Question about oil specification: WSS-M2C945-A vs WSS-M2C945-B1

It is an update of oil specs to address low speed pre ignition (LSPI). The new number is the new, updated Motorcraft oil that has the API SN Plus donut on the back of the bottle. All oil manufacturers that have the new API SN Plus donut on the back of the bottle are addressing the LSPI issue and...
  17. First Long Road Trip was Great- 2018 GT

Mustangs are just great cars to drive/ride in. Great for trips too! Glad you are loving it! Love mine too!
  18. Nice article on LSPI oil solutions

Here is the Mag1 (the brand I’m using) saying they are going all API SN Plus! They are slow updating their website though. When I look up individual oils at their website, only their 10W30 says it’s approved for API SN Plus. https://mag1.com/news/mag-1-api-sn-plus/
  19. Nice article on LSPI oil solutions

I still have some Mag1 Full Synthetic that is not API SN Plus that I have to use up. About five-5 qt jugs. I will be using them in my 2.3 ecoboost Mustang and the wife’s 2.0 ecoboost Escape. I will post an article showing Mag1 is going all API SN Plus. This first article is almost a year old...
  20. What oil are you using?

Mag1 Full Synthetic but, thinking about switching to Quaker State Ultimate Durability Full Synthetic because Mag1 does not have the new API SN Plus symbol.
