Is it a thermostatic oil cooler? If not, just go the karter route, and use strips of duct tape. :D I think each vertical strip is like 10* or something, they've got the math figured out on it
Wow, incredible shots. Used to seeing the salesman with his 15 year old Nikon point-and-shoot just walk up to one on the lot and fire away. Now that's how you sell a car!
Yeah, you just pull it off yourself, you're going to pull the paint up with it. My friend runs one of the largest XPEL shops in the Florida area, and have seen him pull off film from Ferraris, Bentleys, Corvettes, etc. without any issues at all. It's all in the technique....
Full XPEL wrap is a great idea. For a 50k+ car, I'd do it. The fact that you can run it through an automatic car wash if you want without risking swirls and RIDS is pretty cool.
South of Atlanta? That's where I'm at. What dealer did you get it from if you don't mind me asking?
Hell, I can go inspect it for you if you want to let you know if it is a tech or track pack.
Ya'll should come cruise down to Road Atlanta for our February 27/28 Road Atlanta event; free parade laps at lunch-time! Would be cool to get some pics of them lined up together on track.
For anyone that has GEICO, you can get MBI (as long as you purchase the car new, as the 1st owner), which covers mechanical issues for up to 7 yrs / 100k miles and is only a few bucks per month additional.

Not to go off topic, but what don't you like about the GTI?
I just got my first VW product, a 2012 DSG GTI and honestly I love it; fit and finish is great, good performance, practical, gets awesome gas mileage.
