Considering I have a 2017 Harley Breakout with V&H pipes, I can assure you based on YouTube videos alone, the Mustang GT active exhaust sounds nothing like a Harley.
There is a lot more 'race car' type of sound rather than hi-performance tractor going on. My Tundra, with a flowmaster super10...
Mustang GT tops out at what, 55K? Veyron is $1.5m = that's more than 27x more expensive.
Being that guy means I could buy a new mustang every other week in a year, and never touch a car wash nor spray it with water.
I could spend less money (and time) getting it re-cleared in a few years. Meanwhile, washing/polishing/waxing/claybar/etc is an effort to slow the eventual result, and that's if you do it right.
Like my Harley, I own it to ride it, not to clean it.
Same as how it is on the sticker.
Also, blend date is the target completion date; not the start date as I've seen posted everywhere. Considering the blend date and when my car completed and started shipping, it lines up.
Yes; if I let my OCD drive me to hand-washing my car and keeping it as perfect as possible, it will end up sitting the garage not being driven because that's far easier than dealing with it.
So I go through the automated brushes-and-hanging-rags. Yeah it might put some hair-lines on my car...
I'd take the MT82 comments with a grain of salt; the people who aren't having problems aren't posting about it, and the ones that are, are posting often about it.
Like most things on a forum, everyone hears about the bad and it gets amplified.
I would agree with you 10 years ago, but having not used my lawn equipment for 3 years straight (hired a contractor) and having them fire up and run with zero trouble this season...I think they've got the chemicals in the fuel to where now it's not as prone to go stale, or at least, as stale.
Ford performance said blend date is the target completion date. Considering my blend date was Tuesday, notice up awaiting transit was yesterday, and in transit today, that lines up.
Agreed; I missed that part of the post. It could easily be the pads and rotors just have uneven deposits; half the rotor is more grippy than the other half because of it.
Find an abandoned parking lot that has a lot of flat open space, and do some soul-ripping stops from 60-0. Aim for that...
Got my EDD of 7/20 this morning.
Blend date is today, so I guess they're on schedule?
2019 Magnetic Metallic / Ebony Interior / 401A / Performance Pack 2 / B&O / Enhanced Security Package / Safe & Smart / Active Exhaust...basically everything but the block heater...
I didn't test the auto, test drive was an 18 PPK1. IMy previous manual was an I4 97 Ranger that I traded in back in 2010, so it'd been a while. Ride motorcycles so not total loss on doing it.
I didn't notice anything overall; short of me wearing steel toed work boots it all wasn't too bad...
