Thanks! I’m looking forward to it. The last Mustang I owned was a 2001 GT that I bought new and sold around 2006 because the kids wouldn’t fit in the back seat any more. Now that they’re grown and I don’t need the back seat as much, I’m looking forward to driving a Mustang again :)
I commute into Manhattan 1-2 days a week right now due to Covid. If I had to drive in daily, I would not get a manual car. Thankfully, I won't have to drive the Mach 1 in, so I'm happy with the manual. :)
Everything I’ve read says the HP cars are only available with manual. But, a lot of people have been asking for it. Maybe they’ll make it available if enough people ask/complain like they did with PP cars.
I’ve seen the 10/12 date on BlueOval and Ford Authority sites. The Blue Oval posting was from a reputable source (he posts the weekly build scheduling and order guides).
There seems to be 2 types of dealers regarding the Mach 1. The dealers that know about it and are already asking ADM (if they’ll even take a deposit), and the ones that have no clue. I’m expecting $55-60k for a HP with the accent package MSRP. Since they closed the books on the PP cars, the...
As I watch this for the 50th time, it occurs to me that the FJG car has the accent package. Maybe the European accent package has the HP wheels, or wheels styled like the HP but narrower.
The RTR Tech 5 rims are similar to the PP2 wheels, a little lower cost and weight. I’m thinking of getting a pair in the Mach 1 HP size for autocross.
I’m in the process of developing a system that can read the different sensors on vehicles, and looking at this makes me think the sensor data isn’t always available on the OBD port. It is probably still available on the LIN bus or other CAN bus. The OBD connection is primarily for inspection and...
No. The only thing confirmed is sync 4 in the Mach E. I doubt the 2021 Mustang will have it. The current sync 3 premium display is the sync 4 base display, so the dashboard would have to change in all vehicles to get it. I have reached out to the Ford developer group about this and several other...
They may also have too many sitting on the lot or in the order queue. Or if you were ordering a PP2 car, I think there was still a supply issue with them.
And don’t get frustrated if the dealerships done know anything about the Mach 1. Out of the 30+ dealerships that I contacted, less than 10 even knew what it was. Also, smaller family owned dealerships are more likely to deal. It’s a quick turn for them that increases sales numbers, but they...
I definitely got lucky. Anywhere remotely close to Long Island will be jacking up the price as much as they feel they can get away with. I’m not certain, but I think the ford rep told the dealer he would push for an additional HP allocation for them as a result. If Ford actually started...
No ADM involved, just straight MSRP and plus whatever incentives Ford is offering. I’m releasing an automotive product next month that they are interested in, which I offered to sell them at the max discount price for 3 years. Their profit on the discounted price made it more attractive to them...
I happen to speak with a dealership at the right time about a pre-order. The regional ford salesman was at the dealership at the time. He told them they were getting at least 4 allocations but could only guarantee 1 was a handling package car. We ended up making a deal for the handling package car.
