I’m in for any app development needs. Gotta have some way for people to request the ponies
On a side note, I just started writing an app that uses the vehicle telematics to input mileage to quickbooks. Since every drive is also a test/debug session, I can write off 100% of my mileage
I've been reaching out to Ford dealerships all week. 3 have taken my name a promised to call when they receive their allocation. Most have no clue and wanted to sell me a Mach-E :cwl:
I think it came from a knowledgeable user. But this Friday would've been during the Detroit Auto Show, where the probably would've made the announcement.
Thank you for this! I haven't owned a Mustang for a while, and I've been itching to get into Autocross. When I saw the Mach 1 in my news feed, I figured it was time to dive in. Good luck with your Autocrossing!
I wonder if ford is going to do Mach 1 reservations similar to the Mach-E. I've contacted several local dealerships and they aren't sure how it will be handled, but one pointed me towards the Mach-E reservation system as how they thought it would be handled, but they said that
Ford just posted that they will have a big announcement on the 24th at 6pm. It doesn't state what it is about, but maybe the numbers we have been waiting for?
Either the new dealer guide has a typo, or the "SYNC with MyFord Touch" version in the premium level cars does not have SYNC AppLink support. Check it out on page 35. Hope that is just a typo, or it'll really suck.
Based on the URL, it looks like this was not intended to go live yet, it is probably for in-house testing. I'm sure someone is not going to have a good Monday morning if that was posted to the main Ford.com site.
Ask 3 dealers and you're probably going to get 3 different answers at this point. Unless it's a screenshot from Ford's ordering system or an official information release from Ford (press release, info on Ford's web site, etc), take it with a grain of salt.
Why not just carry a programmer with you and plug in the factory tune if anything happens? That would erase the history. Unfortunately, the sync system does not give that kind of access.
Nate408, interestingly enough, there has never been a developer API for the windows phone, only iPhone and...
I have not seen any posting on the developer site about upgrade plans, so I do not know. My guess is that the older systems do not have all the engine data (Throttle/Brake Position, RPMs, etc.), but they may have GPS if you have the nav unit.
As far as the app goes, I am thinking along the same...
I'm a developer working on integrating my app for first responders into the Ford Sync system. The ford developer website does not have anything specifically about the 2015 Mustang, but it does have a new release coming that expands a lot over what is available today. Dub347sbf, the new API has...
