I agree that you get more "bang for your buck" buying one modified, however I don't agree that putting 30k into a car affords someone the expectations that they can expect to get 20-25k of that back in a resale price. I understand some people may pay that much but to me it seems unreasonable yes
Not intended to offend anyone boosted or selling boosted cars just opening up a discussion.
When looking thru the classifieds, marketplaces etc why do sellers expect (and price in) the value of their supercharger add on to prospective buyers most all of the time. Just because you have added a...
Up for sale is a set of 4 Oem PP1 wheels mounted on Hercules Raptis R-T5 tires size 255/40/19 & 275/40/19. Wheels have 15k miles, unknown on the tires but they have excellent tread depth as seen in pictures. Overall they are in very good condition with no road rash just normal wear for 15k...
Not even when it's raining do I use that nonsense setting. I use sport+ during rain since track mode disables traction control. I like to be at least a little responsible. Can't speak on snow (FL)
So can we not use KBB as a guide if looking to buy used? It's usually estimated as less on KBB then what it says on sites like car guru's etc when they say great/good deal. Guessing those site's use typical purchase price as their baseline. Which is clearly not what I'm gonna pay
150 mph in since sold pullied + tuned 07 Gt500. Felt fine, just like normal highway speed, except that the hood definitely was shaking and rattling quite a lot. Hood pins woulda been nice for reassurance.
If mustang A leaves the track going 60 miles per hour and mustang B leaves one hour later going 85 miles per hour, how long will it take mustang B to catch up with mustang A?
Yeah those are good points, all in with the supercharger build would add up to about similiar cost overall.
Anyone have any experience with buying a car of that age (not that it's that old) ,things to look for,oil sludge etc
Only issue with the 13-14 is they are astronomically priced imo. 55k minimum with lower mileage. Seems steep to me for a almost 10 year old car without a warranty
I think it is something in me psychologically that wants back the feeling of owning a shelby rather then just a plain jane s550. I did buy this car with the plan to boost it and keep it long term. I just don't wanna put money in it if I'm not gonna be happy in it.
I do know that if I boosted...
Trying to decide if I should boost my 2020 PP1 (Ess/Vortech) or get back into another 07 -12 GT500 which I used to own. I'm really missing my vmp pullied/tuned shelby, but were taking about a 10+ year old car at this point if I bought one with low miles though. It would be a daily but I'm not...
I'd look to do headers and a PBD dyno tune since they're relatively close enough. Just curious if the gains would be worth the cost over the pp tune I currently have. I'd imagine it'd have to be but not sure.
So I have the Ford performance power pack tune on my 2020 already. Bored of it and looking for more. What kind of gains would be seen with going E85 tuned on top of that?
I worry about a flat mostly is why I have kept my oem ones. Don't think most local tire places stock the aftermarket sizes one would need if necessary right away. Car is my daily so waiting for replacements wouldn't be optimal. I would like to sell them though. Put the money towards the boost...
