  1. Anything wrong with cooled seats?

It's a peltier element. Process is called thermoelectric cooling or heating
  2. Pothole Paranoia-No Spare Tire!

I had a theory when I went and took my PP wheels off and say it had conical seat lug nuts. Maybe the non-PP (and non-20 inch ) cars (and the spare) has ball seat lug nuts and they didn't want customers installing conical lugs on the spare? it'd be easy enough for someone with non-PP or non 20in...
  3. Spark Plugs - Please Read

search youtube for gapping iridium plugs. some guys do it as above, some guys use one of these to open or close them and feeler gauges to check the gap. the latter of which I feel more comfortable with
  4. Would you use this?

just remember, Ford takes their trademarks VERY seriously.
  5. 2015 Owners-Biggest Surprises/Disappointments so far

I remember this on my uncle's old chevy SUV, I always wondered why this didn't show up all over the place. It was very helpful
  6. Great driving Roads in the East coast...

Had to look it up once I got home. It is, very pretentiously, called "the ultimate drive" . You can't miss the bmw logo. But for a free app it's Worth a look
  7. Great driving Roads in the East coast...

head up the Taconic Parkway north of I84, especially in the fall, and any of the back roads up there. A great drive, and not many cars. BMW has an app for phones that is a user populated driving roads database. Last time I used it the app left a lot to be desired, but worked well enough to...
  8. Shaker pre-amp signal measurements

I thought this car's stereo did all its processing before the amp, and you would still need a cleansweep or the like to level the outputs before running through an independent system? is this not the case?
  9. Fuel Economy and Driving Modes

yeah, I thought traction control was just a check in the box for manufacturers, not specific in how it interacts. Like how dodge added traction control to the new viper because it was a law, but reviewers have said it doesn't do a whole lot, as in dodge just put it there because they had to.
  10. Ford racing tune/intake package

Just to add some fuel to this fire, I noticed something from the FRPP brochure. Looks like they've got an EB on the dyno with the engine cover removed on the same page they have the tune/intake combo. it's a little hard to tell though. Still, doesn't look like the 5.0. then blowing up the dyno...
  11. 275/35/20 tire size with 20x9 +20 offset

my 19x9 +32's sit pretty flush (not quite, but with the 255's on them), I may throw 275's on them eventually, but I wouldn't want to push them further out.
  12. Had JBL GX600c installed

with all the DSP that's embedded into cars these days, using something like a cleansweep is pretty much a must if you're trying to use the stock head unit, which is way too integrated these days to easily swap out.
  13. Spark Plugs - Please Read

  14. How do you rate the QC of your pony?

mine has been better than expected. after a detail early on they found a couple blemishes in the paint around the rear glass, but If they hadn't pointed it out I probably wouldn't have ever known. I am starting to notice the passenger leather is pretty loose on the outside bolster though. if...
  15. Ecoboost MPG on new cars

This is the first car I've ever had where I didn't meet or exceed the EPA estimates. Now that the weather's warming up I'm getting away from 22mpg and getting closer to 24 on mixed driving. I'm hoping it gets better, but really, 24mpg and 310hp. I'll take it.
  16. 2 sets of wheels, and alignments

The only change that should really affect your alignment would possibly be if you went to a significantly taller or shorter tire. I'd say you wont have any issues.
  17. DIY air intake?

if you really wanted to make your own just for the sake of doing it, at least do it right. maybe use the lost foam technique and make it in carbon fiber. probably going to blow past the price of buying one used though.
  18. You know your obsessed with your Special Order Mustang when....

I had a Dodge stealth in HS. I was at the dealership so often I eventually memorized the VIN. never forgot it either. JB3XD54B1MY015255. now If I could only remember things that are useful!
  19. Spare with the 20" wheels

I've been wondering this too. One thing I noticed on my PP wheels was that the lug seat was conical, not a ball seat like a lot of OEM lugs. One theory I have is that the spare using a ball seat lug, and the PP wheels as well as the 20's use a conical seat. it's just a theory. I'd...
  20. Engine tweaked during a pull

Check to see if one of the charge pipes popped off. People have reported issues of that or them being loose.
