Engine tweaked during a pull

Coming home, I do a decent pull, revving to about 6K between gears. Then my engine starts sputtering and wont accelerate. I coast into a parking lot. Restart my car. Now it runs fine except it makes a strange whirring sound that is synched with the engine rpms.

Check to see if one of the charge pipes popped off. People have reported issues of that or them being loose.

yup sounds like a charge pipe flew off, that's the sound of your turbo blowing out air and/or air being sucked into the open pipe to feed the engine

It's probably the hot side. Passenger side. Most likely where the plastic pipe goes to the rubber coupler down low.

Thanks guys. would that have caused what I described before I turned off the car? then corrected afterward except for the whirring. Is it safe to drive a bit before fixing?

No, unfiltered air is directly entering your engine.

Thought I checked the pipes and hoses pretty good but it was a little dark. Here's another sound clip to see if you all can verify the sounds. The audio is better than last.

Although I don't want to be the internet mechanic, it sounds like something is disconnected or interfering with eachother

That sounds like a vacuum leak to me. Something is leaking.

I'd be taking it to the dealership immediately.

Took it to my mechanic yesterday morning. He was getting an error code regarding the throttle body, which he thinks is consistent with my mods and not having the proper tune. After he blew the code, it still whirs a little. Taking it to the dealership hopefully tomorrow.

Also, I noticed today my temps are running high. When I'm idling they crawl up, see pic, when I drive they go down.

That's normal, especially in warm climates.
