finally sorted out my rear lights today. last year had them red vinyled, 1 year on and the sun had turned them a lovely shade of transparent pink, booked them in to be lacquer coated red, but on seeing a sample wasn't blown away by the shade, and after seeing a great...
  2. de-chroming custom pack

i actually don't mind the chrome, with the silver wheels. but i'm considering changing them to something a little darker and then i think the chrome might look odd, wrapping definitely seems the way to go.

car was at ford for a service yesterday so when I picked it up I went round to the sales guys and asked about the new one. they claimed to know nothing about it and as far as they'd been told Ford UK weren't going to be getting it  i'm sure it was the go-to line to try and shift the...
  10. Anyone else feeling the MY18 urge?

the only thing I don't like about my car is sitting in traffic with the horrible manual gearbox. (not saying the gearbox is bad, but the fact it is manual and quite a heavy clutch on a leg that's had numerous football injuries) So the 10speed auto is very appealing to me, but if the pricing...
  11. Battery trouble

no no no. i was reassured, now i'm not lol that was my reaction too, people spend hours cleaning inside etc, surely this would be a 'thing' yet i can't find much online about it at all. i'm sure i've sat in the car for 15-20 minutes listening to the stereo too (a far bigger drain) and...
  12. Battery trouble

  13. Battery trouble

Went out last night to move the stang and found the battery dead. considered jumping it or charging the battery but since it wasn't urgent, i was at home, and i'd paid for Ford assist I thought i'd let them sort it under warranty etc. so the AA man turns up and basically said that because...

  17. Tyres - recommendations

shows how much i know, i've lived my motoring life by continental/michelin = good, anything else = bad, though tbf i've not had a 420bhp rear wheel drive 5.0 beast before.
  18. Tyres - recommendations

i've always got my tyres from etyres, but at £290 each!!! i thought i'd shop around this time. got them from AsdaTyres for £225 each in the end and had them fitted couple of hours ago at local fitter just a few mins walk from home so worked out ok. Only driven it less than a mile on them...
