Okay thanks, and yeah I'm getting basically all the steeda chassis mods. So you think the I'll need upgraded dampers to run the x springs?
I think bilsteins are incompatible with the steeda camber plates. Suggestions?
I will be taking it to tracks occasionally (MSR-Cresson, Eagles Canyon, etc). I honestly planned on getting simple a upgrade first, then moving to something like kw v3 in the future as I upgraded power.
So you don't think the dual rate would work alright with stock? Should I dial back to the...
I'm buying
Steeda dual rate springs (.75 drop)
Steeda camber plates
Steeda bumpsteer kit
Is there a point at which the stock shocks/struts are unsafe or detrimental to the performance gains?
Can someone clarify my understanding of Emissions in Texas. Is it true that only certain counties have emissions requirements? Is the exhaust system or emissions tested at all at places not on the list of counties?
If so, what are the limitations in counties not on the list?
Also this is in their data logging with HPT:
STEP ZERO(0): If we did not send a .XML config file for logging, then go to the bottom of this page and download the ZIP file that has the datalog config file in it. Unzip the file and save it to your desktop. You will need this .XML Config File for...
I just bought one yesterday and reading the site I assume they send one based on what your specs are. Then you can do a log and they will do a review for you. I would respond to your ticket and see what they say.
They have this on the support page:
The Safety and Performance Review is...
Will do if possible. I'll have to find a shop that is flexible on scheduling to let me dyno, cool, swap, dyno. I'm in Lubbock, TX so I doubt the cai will do much in the summer anyway.
I'd assume the IATs for a closed element like this wouldn't be much different than stock. I'd think the only way it has that much more performance would be flow dynamics.
CAI gains (from all manufactures) seem like they are just piggybacking off the tune gains...
Thanks for the input. It looks aesthetically really good. I just was looking for some clarity on the advertising. Most of the data I’ve seen shows the stock intake is hard to beat.
I am going to get a Lund tune regardless, and planned on using the stock intake. But if corsa can get up to 20hp...
Not the ratios. The shift points at certain throttle maps with certain rpms. The transmission is tuned better stock in the 2021 from what I've read. I'm not sure how it compares to something like Lund/PBD/Ford Performance tunes, but I'm tuning my 2020 10R80 with HPTuners/Lund. The 2020 5th gear...
God I don't miss SA traffic cops. Seemed like there was a trap or cop sitting over every hill. Im not saying I don't want speed limits, but when you get pulled over for doing 3mph over in the "enclave cities" like Alamo heights or Leon Valley, it's annoying.
In Lubbock, only the bike cops...
Not engine, but the 2021 mustang automatic transmission has better shift points than 2018-2020.
A note for 2021 auto transmissions. The shift points are better.
Other than the +20 hp/+11 ft lbs claim corsa advertises, does anyone have independent dynos? Everything I've seen from corsa's marketing, they seem pretty genuine... but this is a big claim.
Forgive me for being unclear. I meant I haven't found an answer about altering shifting characteristics. Tunes in general, I've found plenty of info. After a little research, I'm leaning towards Lund.
I was looking at the ford performance power pack, and my understanding is there is a significant change to the feel of the transmission.
Is there any CAI+Tuner that outperforms the power pack or is similar in the way it improves the transmission?
Thanks, and sorry if this question was already...
