I’m not completely sure if the 10L80 use the same type of thermostat as the 10R80, but it looks like they recently dropped the thermostat temp from 190-200F to 160-170F. I’m assuming it’s all controlled by the valve body thermostat.
Anyone familiar with both trans know if the thermostats are...
What surface is this on? You said you changed the suspension and this started? Did you align it? If so what was prior setup vs now?
TC cuts are very noticeable, advancetrac is less noticeable and can modulates brakes based on yaw rate.
I can do some testing with my can sniffer but I don't have PCMtec or a J2534 connector. It looks like there’s a yaw threshold and I see some CAN data that looks like it modulates the brakes and some torque value. There’s also some CAN data regarding oversteer, understeer, linear, non linear...
I agree with @engineermike about speed increasing sensitivity and I attached all the torque source states you should ever see. I’d be curious to see if anything more indicative of the stability side of AT did pop up during these events but you’d need to log ABS module CAN bus data directly I...
My understanding is AT uses yaw, longitudinal acceleration, steering angle, and some other inputs to keep you straight. TC mainly uses wheel speed sensors as inputs. Based on different levels of TC (off, track, on), varying levels of interference with tq delivery and braking input occur. I...
Are you turning off TC fully or are you talking about track mode illuminating the TC off on the dash? If so, track mode only turns it off partially.
What datalogger are you using? I don’t think torque source differentiates for AT vs TC.
Have you run the ECF in autoX? I’d love to know how it compares pace wise to the faster tires (rt660, re71r, etc). I bought them because they were available and cheapest option, but they’ve performed better than I thought they would.
ZL1 1LE is probably the best car in the 350's class and under appreciated af..
The dct in the c8 is there for performance numbers, which I get.. but it would have been nice to see a manual version.
Dumb question, you’re just saying the FP shocks are upgraded valving, not upgrade the valving of FP shocks right?
Do you have any suggestions on bushing upgrades, “wheel hop” stuff, etc?
Also, is that cortex discount an open offer? I’d love one lol.
Longer manifold runners and better scavenging would move the band and give you more peak, but then you need better tolerances and internals. It's definitely possible, but there would be compromises (low end torque for example). I would love to see them make a gt350 with the 5.2 Aluminator.
THIS is exactly what I was talking about (the temp jump). I think limp mode kicks in at 300 but I'm pretty sure there are different levels of "limp." Also, you can see a different DTC code for over-temp conditions and over-temp with reduced power.
