  1. Best oil transmission for MT82

I am currently running the BG with the MGC additive and it works pretty good. The MT82 will always have a bit of "notchiness" feeling to it, just the way they are. BG Products Universal MGC BG It is pretty good. I was using AMSOIL prior to that, which is my usual go to. BG is a little pricey...
  2. ALL NEW Mustang E-Flex Fuel Filter kits! (by KPM Fuel Systems)

Any updates? April is coming to an end! I like you can add a pressure gauge to the setup easily as well.
  3. Tuning devices what are the differences? Do any of the tuners use the iPhone? What should we know?

I use an HP Tuners MPVI4 and the TDM app on both my Iphone (work phone) and my Android (personal phone). Works great and I can always hook up the laptop to get deep in the tune if needed. I especially like that I can use this set up across multiple cars and trucks by just buying credits from HP...
  4. S550 Magnum XL that supports DSRM and back up camera ready for sale 1 July 2026

Got an email back from Tremec saying their new Magnum XL for the 2019+ S550 that supports DSRM and back up camera will be ready to be sold 1 July. If you are looking to do a swap or get your MT82 done in your 2019+ S550, might be the time to go Magnum XL.
  5. Long tube headers 22 mustang gt

I run Stainless Works LTH with GESI cats, Stainless Works H pipe back to my stock Active exhaust on the Bullitt. Car is tuned and I have the Quiet mode set up for the full day, and it is not bad at all on start up. Quiet mode really knocks it down a lot. My F150 has stock manifolds and a SPD Y...
  6. Recaro Seat Repair advice

I'd go talk to an upholsterer before I spent any money. Some of these guys can fix damn near any issue with a seat.
  7. MT82 COOKED

Tremec is releasing the Magnum XL that supports DSRM and back up camera for the 19+ on 1 July. You probably want your trans back before then but worth thinking about before you drop 3ish g's on a MT82 rebuild. Just a thought.
  8. Question on Spark Plugs for 2019 5.0

No, it is a bit rowdier on Sport and up on the active exhaust when you put your foot in it. Quiet mode sounds the same. The car pulls much better and I am very happy with the tune. 486/435 to the wheels.
  9. Chevy does it again!!

Stock A4 auto 4L60E replaced with a RPM Level 5 to handle the power. low 10's consistently and she dynoed at 650 to the wheels. Looks are always a personal preference thing, your girlfriend is pretty to you, I think she's fat and ugly- ;)
  10. Chevy does it again!!

One of the best cars GM ever made-C5. Reliable, easy to work on and the LS1 makes great power especially when you add a blower/cam/heads with a RPM Level 5 trans and Kooks headers w/Corsa exhaust. My 02 has 60K miles and a bunch of 1/4 mile work and it keeps going strong. Taking it to SickSummer...
  11. Go with a Motocraft battery

Motorcraft are no better than any other major brand. 2024 F150's had a huge issue with crap stock batteries. Lots were replaced under warranty. I replaced mine with a X2 H8 AGM from Batteries Plus, great warranty (48 month free replacement) and it is holding up well. I use the stock one to power...
  12. Question on Spark Plugs for 2019 5.0

I run 93 but my car is tuned with headers/H pipe and active exhaust and it is a NA Bullitt. I run a bottle of Amsoil fuel system cleaner at least once a year because I can't always get top tier gas, but I try too-
  13. Trans oil change

The key is getting the 10R80 to the right temp to check the level and it being jacked up on level ground. 166 (if that includes the fluid) is not unreasonable but I like to see my fluid. I have a 10R80 on the F150 which I serviced and a MT82 on the Bullitt, which I also serviced. The manual is...
  14. TPMS - Troubleshooting, Repair, wheel sets, DIY

It's pretty easy to swap out the sensor in a wheel. Take the tire off, release all the air, break the bead and then push the tire down at the stem and remove the old one and insert the new one. YT has a bunch of video's on how to do it. I use this tool below(12 bucks) to make the system quickly...
  15. 2015 Mustang GT emissions problems..

I doubt it is related to the GT350 intakes. GT350 pass emissions, Bullitt's (which also use that intake) pass emission. It is tune related more than likely OR your cats are failing or have failed, but I would think you would see P0420/0430 codes if they are bad. I would be very suspect of the tune.
  16. What is a baseline estimate for drilled aftermarket spoiler install?

the money you would spend to pay someone to install it, you can buy a cordless drill, a nice set of bits, a roll of blue painters tape and a good tape measurer, and a few beers for when you are done to look at the EASY job you just did! Just use lots of tape, first hole drilled is always a...
  17. How long is a “drive cycle” for ecu

Last week when you and I were PM'ing each other, I reset my codes (0420/0430) and installed the de-foulers and drove the car to work the next day. 30 miles one way with a mix of highway and in town stop and go. Made 2 stops on the way home so a mix of some city and freeway with stopping and...
  18. Excessive NVH from Barton shifter

It also could be the shifter counter weight causing the noise. A problem seen on D4's sometimes. Calimer could tell you all about it. He makes a cover to delete the counter weight on the D4's, if they get lose or back out, it makes a noise like a rattle from the shifter area/tunnel Check out...
  19. Wrecked Shelby GT350 Rebuild

It is a cool series watching this guy. Hell of an engineer. AWD Mustang GT DIY Conversion - Episode 1
  20. Wrecked Shelby GT350 Rebuild

I wathced this one and it is pretty good. He references "LeeC Parts" as his inspiration. LeeC Parts is a local to me scrapper who does a buttload of re-builds if you guys like this kinda stuff. He has a huge parts place too, I have bought stuff from him here in Maryland and he sells a ton on...
