When I started off for work this morning the outside temp gauge showed -9 degrees. The next time I looked it showed this. After work It was normal. Any ideas?
Agreed, my 10yr old 150K Scion I traded in for my ā17 GT made far less noise than this brand new car. These things are assembled or designed poorly. Sure is fun when you hit the go pedal though.
My ā17 GT has an annoying creak/crackle sound that seems to be coming from the metal dash trim around the heater outlets. It seems to be related to temp changes in the heating system but not sure.
Having just installed my CB005 last night there does seem to be a bigger gap between the lower spacer and the cradle on yours vs mine. Looks like a flap of rubber sticking out also.
Cradle kit installed
I just got my CB005 kit installed tonight. The install was easy, everything lined right up, bolts when in good and took me about 1 1/2hrs. I could feel a difference just backing out of the driveway, felt more solid and a test drive confirmed that.
I know there are many...
I did do the BG fluid and that helped some. The trans is just noisy in 1-4 when hot, shift into 5 and it goes away. Not as noticible in the cold weather but it seems the hotter it gets the noisier it gets. No money in the budget for a new shifter now, maybe later.
Thanks for the info. Itās kind of sad that you have to throw hundreds and hundreds of dollars at these cars to make them perform properly. Itās not a 4 door granny car. Love the motor, looks, sound, hate the 6M trans, shifter plus lots of little creaks and odd interior noises. My 10yr old 160K...
You guys are absolutely right. Iāve never seen a thread or post about poorly made or poorly fitting parts anywhere on this forum. The fact that BMR got back to me on a Saturday night is impressive to say the least. I got the arms fixed and looking forward to seeing the results of the kit.

Thanks for the reply. You were correct as it was a large glob of powder that settled on one side of the cup surface. The stuff is very hard but after 15 min of scraping and grinding I got it down to a nice flat bare surface. A light coat of paint and itās ready to go. I had no doubt that it...

Hello,
I just received my CB005 kit and noticed on the inside of the arms where the bolt goes in, there is a big lump of weld/ distortion on the surface that wouldnāt allow the bolt/washer to sit flat on the surface. I could throw it on a mill and machine it flat but shouldnāt have to...
The problem with the oem pony is that itās all hollow in back. There is only a very thin edge on the perimeter that would contact the grille surface and it doesnāt sit very flat in the grille opening.
We use the stuff at work for making a waterproof seal between a fiberglass sump basin and an extension if a customer needs an odd size. Iāve had to take these apart in cold or hot and itās very difficult. It does get a little softer in summer but you still have to pry the pieces apart with crow...
