My car is a daily and as of today with the stock height I have no issues with clearance, never scraped.
I'm looking to lower it mainly for looks, although I do plan on going to the track once or twice but likely not often.
I wanted to reduce the wheel gap just a bit more without worrying too...
I think mine also said something about visible lines, because there are so many curves in the antenna it's nearly impossible to not have a visible line where the PPF is cut, also much riskier of peeling sooner than the rest of the car.
He only does 100% perfect installations so he didn't want to...
I just scheduled my roof to be wrapped in 2 weeks. I'll be using Black XPEL PPF though, so I get the aesthetics and protection in one shot.
One thing the shop said though is that they won't be able to wrap the antenna fin. Anyone knows how much an OEM antenna is and if it comes painted, or...
I decided to investigate a bit more.... Well, it turns out that there are 2 options available in the market: The Air Design one (also sold by Ford), and a cheap knock off sold on Amazon. American Muscle also sells both, so whoever is buying be aware! Looking at the installation video from Air...
I'm actually returning mine. I've installed with the original tape, but it didn't give me too much confidence. I then removed and installed new, wider 3m VHB tapes before attaching it to the car. After 2 days I was still able to pull it completely with some force (and I wasn't even trying that...

Super tired, got the car 2 weeks ago and did a bunch of small mods today:
Fog light pocket accent cover + Amber delete tint:
Ford racing hood strut:
Hood air vent cover:
Also installed Wireless Android Auto, fixed some paint chips to get ready for PPF, and finished hard-wiring my...
Reviving this thread, has anyone found alternative/new solutions? I really wanted to have something similar to Mach 1 tips on mine, but haven't found tips yet. I think PKs' one is the closest I have ever seen.
For those using only the bolts and no welding, is it still holding up to this date?
Tempted to just buy a cheap cordless heat gun for $100 then, the shop will probably ask at least $50 to install them, might as well spend an extra 50 and have a heat gun for anything else I might need.
Has anyone ever attempted to install these without a heat gun or blow dryer?
I live in a condo with no access to an outlet in the garage. My plan was to install it and leave the car in the sun after for a few hours, but if that is too risky of getting bubbles or not sticking it right I might...
