It is possible that is the case XRFutura and ssb.
However if you look below this is the picture quick duck posted earlier in the thread. The number plate bracket here comes down to the same crease in the bumper as the black object on the yellow mustang.
Just seen on another forum (AFF) a picture of an Aus spec Triple Yellow Ecoboost. The car is on trade plates but has the black rear licence plate bracket installed and it stands out like a sore thumb against the bright yellow paint.
Anyone come across any other solutions that will work for Aus...
Those number plate holders look horrible. Why are they so thick??? They look so out of place.
Slim line plates are going to look ridiculous as the plate holder will extend so far below the plate.
That's great news gs60wa! Hopefully that means it shouldn't be a big gap from when the cars get off the boat to when they can be delivered by the dealers.
On a related note - It sounds like there is a lot of QA happening on these cars. There was a long upfitting process, the cars are being...
Have just come across this update from Pacific Ford on their facebook page. - https://www.facebook.com/pacificfordsupportersclub/posts/10153735814017603
The second boat load of Aus/NZ mustangs (The Fidelio) is currently passing through the panama canal. As with the Parsifal it looks like it's going straight through without any delays.
Very interested to hear the outcome/reason gs60wa.
Just had a call from Ford informing me that my car is on the Fidelio and that dealer delivery should be approximately 30 days from the time the boat left Baltimore. Pretty optimistic considering the boat left on the 8th of Nov and isn't due...
Ordered mine back in October last year. Currently on the Fidelio which is due to get to Melbourne on 8 December. Hoping there are no shipping/customs hold ups and I'll have it in time for Xmas!
I wonder how many AUS and NZ Mustangs there are currently at the Port. I'm guessing it's quite a lot more than the 86 booked on the Fidelio.
Hopefully more cars get booked and loaded on the Fidelio before it leaves.
Hi Ian - To give you another data point, mine is a QLD car and it is scheduled to be unloaded in Melbourne.
Only reason I can imagine for Ford having all the cars being offloaded in a central point is if they are doing further work (or checking) on the cars once they land in Aus.
I've been looking today at what is booked on the next ship out (The Fidelio). It looks like there are 40 cars booked to go to Auckland and 46 cars to Melbourne. The cars booked have a big range in their build dates. The earliest built car I could see had a 7 August build date with the latest...
Looking on the WWL tracking site it looks like there were just over 30 convertibles loaded onto the Parsifal and it looks like there are 8 booked on the Fidelio at the moment.
Looking up the VINs the majority of the convertibles on the Parsifal have August build dates, with a couple of Sept...
Thanks for posting Aussie Mate. Interesting info. I'm interested to see if I get a call as well.
I checked in with my dealer this morning and all they were able to tell me was that it seems like there is a delay getting vehicles shipped and they would follow up with Ford AU.
I've been...
ETIS will show 30.11.0002 until it is built. Once it is built ETIS will update with the actual build date.
The next step is the Window Sticker should become available and it will include the 'blend date' which is the date it is planned to go into production. From memory Window Stickers become...
Interesting comments Aussie Mate.
I too am assuming (well hoping!) that more Aus cars will end up on the ship as mine currently isn't listed and I got confirmation from Deysha overnight that its been at the port since the 6th of Oct.
Hopefully the turn around time from being discharged in...
It will be interesting to see the time it takes from your car being marked as built in ETIS to when it gets to Baltimore. That seems to have been around 40 - 50 days for the first batch. Hopefully that is just first batch teething issues and not the stardard time.
Will also be interesting to...
