Check your invoice. Reason I ask...I had the bbq tick with the synthetic blend (free), and I changed it to the full synthetic after a couple hundred miles, and the tick disappeared. It worked for me, but I know it didn't work for others. Just FYI.

Sounds like it's coming from the underneath the engine, so yeah, that's the bbq tick. Did the dealership use the synthetic blend or full synthetic? The blend is cheaper for them...for a good reason.

I got the tick at 1K miles on my GT after the dealership added the Motorcraft synthetic blend (it was free, and cheaper for them). After 200 miles, I drained that synthetic blend out, and swapped it for Motorcraft full synthetic and the tick went away. I know people have done this before, and...

For track use, page 290 (PDF). I figure might as well get a FP part in case any dealership raises any issues as well (warranty).

I also went with the FP catch can(s). It’s hard to beat that OEM look (preference), and the manual references the catch can from the FP parts catalog, so might as well.

Finally got around to installing the DD LED side markers, and DD LED backup lights for the GT and the Mach 1. Ford being cheap with these bulbs.

FYI, after the 23’s, people will never hold FULL ownership of a Mustang again. The S650s are Fully Networked Vehicles (FNVs), and a simple OTA update by Ford can partially or fully disable these Mustangs (and it’s all controlled thru a touch-screen to make this easier).

The only regret of my M1 was not getting it in Mischievous Purple. That color looks so good in person.

It's your car, do as you please. You're not harming anyone, and you only live once. Plus, the EB shares the same design lines as GTs, Shelbys and M1s.

I think it's a misprint. They do mention the 5.0 quite a few times. But who knows, Ed Krenz reminds me too much of Gavin Newsom to take anything at face value.
