If I were buying a similarly packaged M1 as the sticker shown, I would be targeting a fair price of $57K-$60K with the Elite package. If it doesn't have an Elite Package, than probably around $55K.
It really is the perfect time to buy a Mach 1 HP right now if you have cash on hand (or good...
I mean, if the Roush catback exhaust comes with an X-Pipe, why not just run that for a while. I'm sure they put a bit of R&D into that. If it's horrendous (which I doubt), then swap it out. Just seems counterproductive to me if I were to buy a complete catback exhaust.
That said, I run H-Pipes...
Well, at least you have a warranty, and you can leverage that in case you need to bail out on the car. I would never own a GT350 without any warranty. Ever. I considered one at one point, but decided against it.
Good luck!
Sure. The Mach 1 HP has the same braking and handling capabilities as the GT350R. The only differences are the motor and the specific trim parts (steering wheel, seats, etc). The motor is the biggest one. I prefer the 5.0 platform, and the M1 5.0 has the GT350 parts, and specific tune that make...
I'd consider this a downgrade from a Mach 1 HP. But to each their own. I wouldn't even trade it for a 19'-20' GT350R. I would just add it to the stable, but I much rather have a C7 Z06 or S550 GT500.
Only way I'm getting rid of my M1 HP is with insane offer. I'm talking like $200K or higher. The S550 is the last great Mustang to be made (sadly), and that makes the M1 even that more special.
Dealerships make most of their money thru financing and they'll push as hard as they can for that. But if you walk-in with cash/cashier's check in hand, and tell them no, they'll ease up. They may still push for a credit check, but they also don't want a transaction with friction. At least this...
Tbh I can't remember the brand, I got it from Amazon. Any one of them will work fine, even the ones that attach to the seat belt harness or pedals, as long as they are visible. It's all about discouraging and adding multiple layers of security/annoyance. I don't even take the M1 to the...
Just like stolen GT350s and GT500s, if the thieves want a Mach 1 they'll go as far as possible to get it. I mean brand new GT500s were being stolen directly from Ford. That's crazy.
We just gotta make as tedious as possible for a thief to go after another target, kinda like if a bears chases...
Easy.
1) Locked ECU
2) Fully Networked Vehicle platform (this will make the hacking/unlocking of that ECU impossible. See Chevrolet C8 (Trident Performance is silent about alleged unlocking of ECU)).
3) Exterior design (uglier version of S550)
4) Interior design (needs more physical buttons)...
Congrats! You got the great N/A Mustang to be made. As far as mods:
- remove hydro carbon filter
- oil separator
- jacking rails
- hood struts (very use and actually adds a nice feeling to opening the hood. Hard to explain.)
- if you have the B&O, upgrade the subwoofer. The stock sub is meh...
Good question, but I believe both are 3.73s, I'm not too familiar with the Bullitts. IMO the GT350s has more of a European flavor to it, hence the FPC with a great sound of it's own (mimicking a Ferrari). The Mach 1 HP is a GT350 with a 5.0 and more of an American muscle flavor...hence the stock...
And GT500 parts. It's the culmination of (N/A) S550 engineering. Ford engineers must have had a blast working on the Mach 1 (HP).
How reviewers should have driven it...
And the M1 doesn't need to be a Shelby (even though it has outperformed the GT350R). It has its own thing going. Classic American muscle and heritage at it's best. Even the stock exhaust sound exemplifies this perfectly. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
And the GT500 shouldn't even be in this conversation. It's a whole...
And that's why Mach-E folks hang out with the Ioniq folks. 😬
Speaking of EVs, there's a video of Kyle Conner on YouTube carving out SoCal canyon roads with a Mach 1 HP like God intended. Great video. For some reason, Ford didn't want reviewers tracking or racing the Mach 1 HPs.
Oh wow. Is it the colors? Animations? Layout? I wonder if there's some sort of filter film that can cover the screen for color or brightness adjustment, if it is that.
That said, I actually prefer the analog dash over the digital dash. Just preference for me tho.
Nice write-up. Personally, I think overall the C8 is a downgrade from the C7. GM may have over-engineered the C8 to the point that it lacks...soul. That said, I wouldn't mind a C8 Z06 (if free), but would really, really love a C7 ZR1 instead.
Well, if you know, you know. It's literally the perfect Mustang (specially the HP with the TR-3160, no shade meant). The only thing that would make it even better would be factory forged internals, like the S197 Boss. I would have gladly paid extra.
Still, I wouldn't have any other way. What an...
