Getting ready to go on a cruise the other weekend in the morning, had her warming up outside. Started the day off with freezing temps and by mid afternoon, a lot lower elevation and 70s - it was a fun combination.
Went out for a rally yesterday with @fmc_smt in the Phoenix area. Smaller showing then expected and not nearly enough "spirited driving" for my tastes... You know it's bad when the locals are passing you with their minivans and SUVs.
None-the-less, tried to enjoy what opportunities there were...
Around 2015, saw the ass end of one driving in front of me and thought it was hella sexy and smooth. Didn't mind that once I saw the front it reminded me of a fusion, that ass had me drooling.
In 2020, I made an emotional decision and bought a 17 GT. 100% emotional and now every time I see it...
On the regular, it happens. Thankfully I'm not more mature and more boring than I use to be a decade ago, a lot more conscientious of traffic, conditions, and potential popo - which means less fun but a lot less puckering.
About a year ago, had a Twilight zone scenario play out. Skipping all...
Friends from out of town here for a week, brought their bikes along with. Hit them up Sunday morning about heading to a memorial car show for a builder here that recently passed.
The bikes were nice but the truly memorable one was the new BMW M1000RR - stupid fast and nice. I didn't ride it but...
Man, I wish my skills were that good! But credit where credit is due, that isn't my shot - it came from the Rally's Facebook site. But it definitely is your car 😉
Sounds good! And I know that tunnel well, lived there for several years back in the early 2000's. I'll take the dry heat of AZ all day long, no offense.
Did a cruise today with a bunch of car guys and joined @fmc_smt with his clean ride. At a fuel stop in a small town, took advantage of the landscape while next to each other.
Had a nice time getting out and meeting up! Wasn't as many cars as I anticipated but like you said, good peeps!
Really appreciate your time to both let me check out your ride and you evaluating mine... You have the cleanest and well put together daily driver I've seen. After that quick ride...
A lot of times, the models years are referenced by what generation coyote it is.
Gen 1
11-14
Gen 2
15-17
Gen 3
18+
It's convenient because it also correlates with the bodies and other mechanical and functional changes (IRS, transmissions, etc).
Don't ever stab the gas with these tires unless trying to break traction. And 90% of the time, I drive like an old fart so it works for me but that other 10% keeps me on high alert.
A year of ownership with my first S550.
- I'm not a good of driver as I thought I was (launching and consistent shift points)
- I need better tires
- I can't have it all
- I hate working on things that I'm not confident about
- Automatics are now more appealing
- Having a major hobby puts...
I live around 5k feet and in AZ, so all we get is 91 octane. Car is Lund tuned for 91-93 so in theory, I should be good.
However, I do drive the car down to the Phoenix area (1200' elevation) so I like to run some octane booster as a safety net. It seems like every brand has a booster but the...
I'll bite on the bait. No attempt here to sway any opinion, just my vantage point why I went the route I did.
Growing up, learned on a big block Ford 4 speed. Couldn't kill it if I wanted to and spent many days dreaming, going through every item in Summit Performance catalog, studying facts...
End of the weekend and putting her back in the garage... It's like only seeing your girlfriend only on the weekends - it's what helps you get through the week.

Aw man, seeing a number of things that I would love to have but with Christmas coming up and a big vacation planned in January, I don't have the extra funds to make this a reality.
Sorry to hear about the car but best of luck with the parting out sale!
High flow cats, x pipe, QTP active exhaust with valves open.
Spring time, 40-50 degree weather... Love the birds chirping in the morning and the fuel pump priming...
Put approx 600 miles on between Friday through Sunday. Had a long softball tourney down in Phoenix.
Averaged a little over 21 mpg, renewed my disdain for snowbirds and idiots in congested traffic, scratched my head plenty of times with V6 cars pacing me and then nailing it in said traffic, and...
