For those that get E85 in a barrel/drum, who do you use and what does it run you?
Quick Google search yields results for E85R only, can't find just E85. And for the R stuff, it's super expensive when not specifically using it for track/strip days.
I live in an area where E85 is not available...
Don't think I'm gonna make it tomorrow. The chaos of life!
But I may hit up the Prescott c&c, as it's a total of 30 minutes total drive time vs the 2+ hours for the VOC.
Much easier to justify to the wife and bring my 7 year old along with.
Got the splint off the hand, finally able to grip the shifter (cloth on hand with splint caused for some embarrassing slips when trying to shift). So, it was time to enjoy a hit on my way to work the other day.
Jumping on an uphill on ramp, did a 2,3 pull with the classic "cell phone in cup...
I can't leave well enough alone and want to go with some LTH to compliment the performance aspect of my car, so I'd like to get the opinions of those who have made this decision and find out why they went that route.
Not intending this to be a debate thread or "bash the other brands", simply...
That is the most thorough striping I have ever seen, front to back. Any additional pics of top of car and top of trunk/spoiler?
I'm a sucker for star/5 spoke rims, what's the details on your setup? It looks great 😉
My 17 GT is the same with the spedo indicating a slightly higher speed than the cruise control set. Verified cruise control accuracy with gps.
I just attributed it to my driver position, slightly being off to the side of spedo and not directly in front. It is annoying but tolerable.
Also, you...
Hate: cruise control button layout/placement. Designer at Ford: hey, let's make it symmetrical with the other side and it needs to have this many buttons... Naw, they'll get use to it.
Over the vehicles I've owned and driven, quite possible the poorest design. Honorable mention goes to Toyota...
Haha, might have been a more interesting story. Line drive when coaching 3rd base during softball this weekend, got my hands up to save the nards. Take a broken thumb over a broken jimmy any day of the week.
17 M6 with 3.31 rear end, Whipple, 91 oct. Best mpg is at 2k 75mph-ish: 25 mpg.
In town, approx 15 mpg. DTE with full tank: approx 200 miles.
That's all via the dashboard display.
Grew up in a Ford family, through out the years had a 87 Thunderbird turbo coupe (probably my favorite car up till my mustang) 88 Cougar XR7 (wanna be fox body), a few TBird Souper coupes, and a 92 GT fox that I had to sell about 10 years ago after getting married and having kids for a more...
When it comes to daily driving, the only real difference between NA and FI (specifically, the SC) is torque. You have more of it, easier driving and ability to keep your RPM's low.
HP comes into play the further down your foot goes, making it very intentional. It's not an electric motor where...
Found out I have a softball tourney that weekend, won't be able to join you cool cats. Dang it... Make sure to take some pics of the event and post them up here when it happens.
I commented about this on another thread, how the system manipulates the dynamics of the car and brings unexpected results. IE, I expect car to do this and it does that.
I've had instances where I was doing a controlled maneuver and the system engaged (different manufacture), causing a...
I'm of the class of people that think you should know the limitations of your vehicle and yourself. None of that is achieved without experience (book smarts and life experience).
Grew up in the country with gravel roads and a certain freedom that goes along with that, plenty of snow fall etc...
Went to a softball tourney and parked away from the general crowd. Got back home and realized that despite precautions with where I parked, negligence still happens.
Annoyed but thankful it wasn't a body panel.
Thanks! I can't give you info on rims as it was purchased this way without any info on car, but they are 20". Haven't dived in to find out what they are, yet.
