Of course the RR spring on the GT350 is wound in the opposite direction.
To Fit GT350 rear springs on S550 mustangs, it takes (2) LR springs from a GT350

From the sound of what @geep81 is looking for, I'm not sure the 3.73 would give him what he wants. 18 points would barely make a noticeable difference. If a final decision of 3.73 is made, then definitely...

The Temp sensor does Not go all the way into the fluid. It's brass end bottoms out against the aluminum. Ford Manual says it's a (One time use), but I have heard of others swapping them over.

I was told that Ford & Ford Performance does not mark their Pinion gears in regard to pinion depth or shims. On OEM Ford Pinions Gears I have not seen them marked.
Some aftermarket R&P manufactures do mark the pinion, but it is usually on the face of the pinion head.

The sensor that ford uses is similar, if not the same, as the one they use for rear-end temp. It doesn’t go into the fluid itself. The copper end on the sensor just makes contact with the aluminum at the bottom of the hole (if that makes sense) usually there is a connector in the factory wiring...

Removing the outer pinion bearing race (from the front) would be nearly impossible with the pinion shaft still there. It's hard enough to punch it out from the rear. And it would take longer than diving in the deep end of the pool.
To replace the crush sleeve, you will need to remove rear cover...
Some consideration may depend on what preload spring/springs you use. I thought I read about you were thinking of using or had used Belleville springs for preload.?

Well the Ford Engineer did say it was there for safety precaution in case of a wreck.
It does secure the outer hood layer to the inner hood layer.
Could this be the purpose ? Keeping the two layers of the hood from separating in case of front end collision ?
