I have fought false knock multiple times, but I have a Paxton car. Mine always came in when the engine torqued, and to my surprise the engine moved A LOT more than I expected. First mystery was the stubby filter hitting the radiator shroud (had over 1/4” clearance), second was a charge pipe...
You should be running Mid- low 10s with ease. My car is a 18 Paxton a10, 91 with torco, mt et street ss (305/45/17) and skinnies up front, bmr cradle lockouts, and all else stock. Ran low tens at almost 140 last time out (and I had a fuel issue- too long and irrelevant to post) in bad air...
Hey guys, looking for an unmarried ngauge that’s not locked to lund. I have a lund married one as we speak and would be willing to trade. Already confirmed with Lund that they will unlock it with the purchase of a lund tune if you are interested in a trade.
1.74 60’, 6.78@110 1/8th, 10.35@138 1/4. 1300da, and as I said At the track the car was .5 slower 60-130 than the night before testing on pump/torco, so I’d fully expect it to be a bit quicker next time out with the right fuel.
Yeah, a converter is on the shopping list, just gotta wait for the budget to allow it. Unfortunately I’m also building a sbf/88mm/t56 67 mustang so convincing the wife I need to drop 2k into the daily on top of the race car... is a hard battle. She’s all for it, but she’s smart with our...
In the spirit of weight reduction, does anyone know exactly what these black brace/plates are In the front wheel wells? They feel pretty solid and heavy, but I’m not too sure how structurally necessary they are
thank you for your input. I was supposed to run ms109 or the gt260, but it wasn’t available in my area so I hoped the plus would work and it kinda backfired. Won’t be making that mistake again.
It’s a 3.15 rear gear, which doesn’t help. I did stage super shallow, and creeped a little while I...
Hey fellas,
Finally got my 18 to the track (stupid covid) and it did... decent. Long story short the night prior I got everything dialed on pump/torco (using dragy) and then threw Sunoco 260gt plus for the track and the car was .5 slower 60-130, afr was out of wack with the highly oxygenated...
I chased false knock for 2 months, using adhesive back weatherstrip on everything from the hood prop to wrapping all hard lines in coolant hose. Finally found it with my stubby filter knocking on the radiator shroud, but only under engine torque. Look for things that might hit when the motor...
Bondo glazing and spot putty worked pretty well last time I used it on my curb rashed wheel. Any sandable two part export type filler will do. Then sand and blend with touch up paint.
^^ 100% truth right there. The nt05r and the Et street ss are not even in the same category as most people think. The nitto is a hybrid that helps hook while maintaining street characteristics and the street ss/ et street r are actual DRs that have a dot stamp. You can’t expect them to perform...
Yeah I even found the part numbers on an eBay listing and after a google search nothing came up. Anybody have a eb that’s done springs and has a set they wanna get rid of?
I have no need to know what the spring rate differences are from a 15-17 vs an 18-19 gt, however that information is available on here if you look, but nothing on the v6/eb.
Hand me down parts are an economical decision which improves the quality of the “lesser” vehicles in the next generation...
Hey guys,
I’ve literally looked everywhere but I’m at a complete loss. Does anyone know if the non pp eb/v6 cars have a different front spring rate than the gt? And if so, what is the spring rate? Any help appreciated
WOWWWWWW is all I can say. Kinda crazy to see someone hop on the forums and get bashed pretty hard for using a joke to describe his goals.
This forum has completely gone to shit and MODERATORS clearly aren't doing their jobs by locking threads like this to keep the site productive and civil.
ill start off by saying the 15-17 stock mufflers were a joke, absolutely silent and HAD to be replaced in my opinion. no tone, no volume, nothing. it almost forces everyone to do at least an axleback, and we all know how loud corsa extremes are.
the one thing that drives me nuts about s550s vs...
Keep in mind yes its a v8...but its ONLY a 302. They were never known to be torque monsters by any means, especially these modular motors. If your car was going to have any catastrophic failures it would have happened already so its more than plenty "broken in" so go bang that sucker off the rev...
