  1. Auto Not Really in Park

Dealer looked at it this morning. Couldn't find anything wrong. No damage to the shift cable and cable bracket was tight, etc. They said that it wasn't unusual for this model to be able to roll a foot between the pawl detents. I've rebuilt several automatics over the years. There are some...
  2. Auto Not Really in Park

I've had something odd happen. My Mustang rolled across the parking lot and bumped another car. The shifter was in Park. It only rolled about 3-4 foot. Left a small mark on the other bumper from my license plate screw. I had parked my car. Walked to my boat. A few hours later a policeman was...
  3. SEMA Show Car Mustang For Sale

Pretty color. Early car. Interesting to me that it was built about 100 cars after mine. Jerry
  4. RACE RED S550 MUSTANG Thread

Winglets I posted this to the "What did I do to the Mustang today" thread, but I thought I'd stick it in here with the Race Reds too. Jerry
  5. Very Early Car?

Just giving my post a bump. Not much info earlier than number 299665. Wondering if anybody knows anything interesting about these pre-production cars like mine. Jerry
  6. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

I added MMD winglets today. A little different than the Roush winglets. Fit well and was easy to install. Jerry
  7. Dead battery

Wife's BMW battery died at 12k. Batteries are batteries. They don't seem to care what kind of car they are in.
  8. Very Early Car?

I'll bet they had kids. Both of the child tether covers in the rear deck are missing. ;)
  9. Any past BMW owners here?

Wife has a 2012 128i sport. Nice car, but the Mustang drives nicer and rides nicer. My wife likes my seats better than her sport seats. We have 114K on the BMW. Had to do the o-ring under the oil filter stand repair about 15k ago. Changed out plugs a few times and coils at 90K. Battery died at...
  10. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

    Added a Green filter today.
  11. Saw White GT Today 5/26

I was driving along side a nice white GT today with a white Roush spoiler. Had a nice blackout treatment and pretty loud exhaust note. I was in Ohio on US24. Was this anyone on the forum? Jerry
  12. Very Early Car?

1FA6P8TH1F5299280 Thanks, that would be cool. Even if it turns out to be a rental. I have a Carfax for it, but it doesn't show anything before Feb. 2016. Jerry
  13. Very Early Car?

Yup, our first trip was from Ohio to Las Vegas and back about two weeks after buying. I think it was about 4,600 miles if I remember right. :D Then we've driven it all winter going to cat shows every weekend all over middle & eastern America. My wife breeds & shows Tonkinese cats (Tonks).
  14. Very Early Car?

I did find an American Express receipt under the spare tire. Dated April 30, 2015. Name on it was Shane Schulze. Google says: Senior High Voltage System Test Engineer at Ford Motor Company. Interesting... maybe he rented it.
  15. Very Early Car?

It did have 13K miles on it when I purchased from the Lincoln dealer.
  16. Very Early Car?

Hi Folks, I've owned my Mustang for a year now. I've noticed a few things that make me wonder just how early it was built in relative to other 2015 Mustangs. My vin is 299280 which is below the 300000 number that I usually see referred to as the starting number for 2015 S550's. My EB...
  17. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Changed sparkplugs for the first time in my EB. Used the Brisk plug, RR14YS, from AM. 55K miles on the OE plugs. Gaps were all over .035" on the old plugs. Also appeared that the old plugs were beginning to show some blow-by around the porcelain. Odd, I've only seen this one other time.
  18. Dressed up engine bays

That's an idea worth trying. $100 is crazy. Jerry
  19. Dressed up engine bays

Chef, I just saw that cover today online. Might do the trick for me. At least it's not ugly, so long as it fits well. Jerry
  20. Dressed up engine bays

EB Engine Bay Here's one of my EB engine bay. Could be a little cleaner, but it's winter. I want to do something with the coolant tank. I don't mind the shape, but I hate that it's see through. Thinking of painting black except for a slit where I can see the level. I'm not a fan of the square...
