  1. Wheel to Hub gap?

Did you drive it like that at all? If so, you should replace your wheel studs - that kind of shear force on them is NOT good and I would be concerned about them going forward - especially if you track the car. Bring it to a Ford dealer, have them do it right and get your wheel installer to foot...
  2. Verus Engineering Heat Extractors

Nice! Could you provide additional details/pictures of the foam rain block you fabbed up? I have the trackspec hood vents and looking to do something similar.
  3. Any good write ups for the opg replacements

I would recommend the thread on svtperformance dot com “mmr oil pump gear install”...best ive seen if your looking for a picture walkthrough. Many helpful threads on this forum as well. Note the S550 timing procedure is entirely different than the S197.
  4. 350 TB Causing Knock

Interesting. No, I don't drag race, but I'll run a log with a few WOT shifts to see if anything spikes.
  5. 350 TB Causing Knock

I have Shaun's AED tune, GT350 IM and TB, JLT CAI and Corsa catback - that's it...so i think its a very similar setup to yours. I have zero positive knock on any of the logs I ran for AED.
  6. Steeda's Race Car Development - Build Thread

Please do follow-up! Question has been asked many times but never heard any concrete info supporting this. I have the Steeda race wing and love the appearance but would be great to understand the results of Ford and Steeda’s testing.
  7. S550 Underhood Temp ideas

I need to shift the driver side vent down (towards the front) about a mm or so - I do see what you are mentioning but it appears to not sit in the factory contour quite like it should be. The placement of the passenger side looks more in line - see pictures below:
  8. Steeda's Race Car Development - Build Thread

+1 - would love to see some data/analysis of the Steeda wing.
  9. S550 Underhood Temp ideas

Verus requires the entire vent to be cut out to their shape vs. Trackspec which is “drop-in”
  10. S550 Underhood Temp ideas

I plan to make a set of rain shields to address this. Something similar to these: https://www.verus-engineering.com/product-page/hood-louver-rain-guard-kit-ft86
  11. S550 Underhood Temp ideas

Agreed. I will run a JLT pre-filter (water resistant) and fab up a removable water sheild to protect the filter - these both will mitigate the issue. Primary objective for the car is HPDE and these along with a center vent will improve cooling and aero. Not for the faint of heart but they should...
  12. S550 Lap Times (Road Course)

Wow, I didn't know this track existed! Tight go-kart track but looks like a good time. I grew up in Tucson and went to UofA. I'll have to check this out when I visit for the holidays.
  13. S550 Underhood Temp ideas

There are a number of snap in clips along with two bolts that secure the factory vent in place. I cut out the entire area under the vent to maximize efficiency but if you really wanted the option to reinstall the factory vents you could probably make it work.
  14. S550 Underhood Temp ideas

Not too bad at all. Just need to cut out the underside of the hood - I used a dremel with a metal cutting wheel. No need to touch anything on top of the hood as these drop right in place where the factory "vent" was.
  15. S550 Underhood Temp ideas

Not many yet. They just released. The photos are from my car.
  16. S550 Underhood Temp ideas

http://trackspecmotorsports.com/mustang-s550-hood-vents-louvers-15-16 The trackspec replacement hood vents should help, alongside their upcoming GT4-styled center vent. I just installed these on my car this weekend but won't be out on the track until next spring to really test.
  17. BMR CB005 stripped socket help needed.

You need a M14x2 tap to clean up the threads. You will be fine, has happened to many of us!
  18. *LAST PRICE DROP* 2015 performance pack gt (hpde/road course)

This is a really sweet deal - cost to build this car would be wayy over 2x the price. Nice build and GLWS!! If you can't sell as is, you will have no problem parting out many of the mods - all quality stuff.
  19. Shop manual subscription

looks like the site is shut down (not surprising), but I purchased the factory ford service manual from factory-manuals.com for $70. Totally worth it. Maybe there is a similar way to obtain elsewhere.
  20. Just installed Ridetech coilovers, (squeak) question

Just FYI, you are now at 14 clicks from full firm, which is a IMO way too soft and in the range that I would experience your issues. You should go full clockwise (full firm) then back off 7-8 clicks from there. I think you'll be much happier there. The manual is on Ridetech's site which...
