  1. When is Slipping the Clutch Okay?

How long does the clutch last on these cars on average for a good driver versus someone who's harder on the clutch? Being my first manual car, I really have no concept.
  2. When is Slipping the Clutch Okay?

If creep assist is too fast for traffic, then what other techniques are there? I'm talking situations where you go from stop, to 2 mph for 20 feet, to stop, and repeat for miles.
  3. When is Slipping the Clutch Okay?

This is my first manual car and so far I've logged about 1,000 miles of driving over a month and feel pretty good about driving manual, but wanted to ask some questions here before I develop any bad habits. The first thing is slipping the clutch, using the clutch pedal to modulate my speed...
  4. Car Washes with Wheel Tracks? Are They Safe?

All of my previous cars were bought with 100,000+ miles on them so this is my first car where I'm starting out with good paint. I had never noticed an issue with the spinning brush car washes before because my paint was so swirled to begin with, and I never gave any thought to running through...
  5. Car Washes with Wheel Tracks? Are They Safe?

Wow...you were right. Little scratches everywhere. I assume a good professional detailer can get these out?
  6. Rear Window Louver

Looks about as appropriate on a 2015 Mustang as orange shag carpet interior and crushed velvet seats.
  7. Car Washes with Wheel Tracks? Are They Safe?

I love those, unfortunately the nearest one is about 25 minutes away. I've been thinking about opening one in my area as I think there would be a huge demand for it.
  8. Car Washes with Wheel Tracks? Are They Safe?

It's not laziness....I live in Wisconsin, so hand-washing at home is not an option this time of year, where it's usually well below freezing every day. I'd rather go to an "ineffective" car wash frequently and get all the salt and dirt off than let it go all winter without cleaning it at all...
  9. Hidden Features in the 2015 Mustang

I did. Maybe I'll start a new thread to discuss this finding of mine.
  10. Real World 0-60 Results - SHARE!!

For most of us who daily drive our cars, what figure matters more? What makes a car fun on the road to me is how fast it can take off from a light, or how fast it can accelerate on an onramp getting on the expressway. 0-100 times and quarter-mile terms are basically useless in everyday driving...
  11. Car Washes with Wheel Tracks? Are They Safe?

I gave it a try and got through without any damage. I was nervous about the wheels the whole time so probably won't be trying it again. This wash is about 1/3 of the cost of most nearby touchless washes so I wanted to give it a try. The tracks have rubber guards so it's probably safe but why...
  12. Winter time maintenance?

Why not wash it now? I've been washing mine in 15-20 degree weather without hand-drying and haven't had any issues with doors freezing. Most car washes around here are open if it's warmer than 10 degrees or so. It hasn't been above freezing for a long time, and I couldn't wait that long to wash...
  13. Car Washes with Wheel Tracks? Are They Safe?

Wondering your thoughts on using a car wash with tracks / conveyors for the wheels. I have the 20" wheels so the risk of damage to the wheels seems greater. Are these types of car washes generally safe to use in terms of not damaging the wheels?
  14. Anyone Buy A EB And Have Buyers Remorse?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't there there's been any model year (including the first model year) where a six- or four-cylinder engine wasn't offered in the Mustang. It's always been offered with other engines, so not sure where the V8-only mentality comes from. Some years (1974), there...
  15. Lockout of 1st?

I started another thread regarding the same issue: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15087 Most people think it's normal in the cold.

  17. Man Sham Chamois for $1.00 Promo Code

Thanks! The code worked for me and I just ordered one as well. With my Prime membership, getting this shipped to my door for $1.00 is a pretty good deal!
  18. I'D LIKE TO SEE THIS MADE-anyone agree?

Most of us here are EAA members, so we must all like planes, right?
  19. Ecoboost Emblems?

I'm really happy with the 2.3 turbo engine so far but the "EcoBoost" name and green leafy logo just don't have any place on this vehicle (same could be argued for Ford Trucks as well), so I won't be adding any logos. If I did, I'd be inclined to do something along these lines:
