IMO your average daily driver is not going to get that much value out of the upgraded brakes. If your tracking it, sure it makes sense. The standard brakes are totally adequate for ordinary driving though.

Thanks for the recommendation. That's the tire I'll go with. The dealer agreed to do an even exchange and mount and balance for free. Always good advice on these forums. I'm still curious what the dealer does with the traded in tire and how they get value for it.

Then give the customers the option of which tires come from the factory on a chosen set of wheels. A lot of buyers are never going to track their car or push it to its handling limits and all seasons are perfectly fine for the what most of us will use our car for--commuting and running errands...
