Thank you for your time in explaining everything! :hail:
That makes a lot more sense now. The dealer was not explaining how the acquisition fee was factored in, so that explains the $20/month difference we were getting.
In retrospect, I didn't really need to sign up for EAA as it's only...
Isn't the doc fee capped at $100 for X plan?
They are adding title and registration but I'm paying that at closing and not rolling it into the lease.
Looks like I also have the option to pay the acquisition fee up front so I don't have to roll it into the lease.
That seems to make sense. So if I take the X-plan price of $29,558, minus EAA $750, plus acquisition fee of $645, I get a total capitalized cost of $29,453. When I put that into the lease calculator, I'm getting within a few dollars of the dealer, who is coming up with $274 per month.
I'm factoring in taxes. 61% residual. 2.75% rate.
The difference must be the acquisition fee.
So I take the X Plan price + $645 to figure out the final price for purposes of calculating lease payments? No need to add in the advertising assessment on top because it's already built into the...
I'm taking delivery of my order for lease tomorrow and want to figure out something confusing about the payments. I'm coming up with a much different number than the dealer for monthly payments. I'm using X plan and the EAA $750 discount, which brings the X plan price down to $28,808 (the x plan...
Thanks all for the helpful information.
Is anyone able to confirm the current residual and lease rate for an EcoBoost Premium fastback, 36 month, 10,500 miles per year lease? It was 61% and 2.75% as of a few weeks ago, but now it appears one or both variables have changed and I'm trying to...
Does EAA membership include an X Plan pin? Or do you have to get the X Plan pin through Mustang Club of America first, and then sign up for EAA to get the $750?
Thanks for the helpful information.
Any idea on the likelihood of the dealer allowing me to switch to X plan with the EAA discount at this point? I have already signed the Motor Vehicle Lease Order but I understand that's not binding on me.
Thanks, where are you able to get those numbers?
The google docs spreadsheet mentioned above is showing lower numbers. Your numbers are more in line with what the dealer originally told me was invoice and x-plan a few months ago when I ordered.
For leasing the EcoBoost Premium 36 months and 10,500 miles per year, the residual is 61% (at least it was as of the 3rd Quarter when I ordered my car). I think there is a lease residual thread on here, but the residuals may have changed slightly for the 4th Quarter.
That price seems fair (you...
Thanks, I thought X-Plan was supposed to be below invoice though?
Also, does the 1.63% advertising assessment need to be added on top of whatever number you arrive at?
Are there any doc fees are or those waived with X-Plan?
I should be taking delivery of a Mustang that I ordered a few months agree with an agreed-upon price of a few hundred dollars below invoice. After reading about the EAA $750 discount with X-Plan, I'm wondering how much I would save if I switched to X-Plan and the EAA discount.
The car I'd...
I was considering a Mercedes CLA250, the EcoBoost Mustang, or a used G37 coupe.
Not all car buyers fit into neat little categories -- there are cars out there other than the Camaro and Challenger that might interest a potential Mustang buyer.
You are looking at it too narrowly. Why would I dump $30,000 cash into this car (a depreciating asset) when I can keep the money invested and earn a greater return on it than the interest rate I am paying.
For you, it may be about peace of mind, but economically, paying 100% cash up front...
