  1. My First Car Was...

I remember running a set of Radial Mud's on one of my Super Duty trucks years ago. They got really loud after about 10,000 miles...couldn't even hear talking to a passenger. I can't imagine how loud the swampers would be....
  2. My First Car Was...

1970 Chevrolet Nova. Butternut Yellow. 307 engine. Bought it in 1981 for $700 when I was 15 years old. I remember the day I got my driver's license I drove around for a couple of hours going nowhere in particular, just enjoying being able to legally drive a car without Dad or Mom riding with me.
  3. Frustrating to park it all winter

I hear what you're saying.... You need to be where the climate works in your favor with health issues. You'll find a good place to call home. As far as your wallet getting hate raped and the politics, Oregon is getting to the same place as California is with our Communist governor.
  4. Frustrating to park it all winter

N No, I was going to mention that if you're west of the Cascade Mountains you don't get the cold winters like we get east of the Cascades. It usually rains for weeks on end over there and cloudy. If they get 4"+ of snow over there, everything shuts down, or close to it. The west side of the...
  5. Frustrating to park it all winter

Same here... I already have 2 daily drivers. The Mustang is a toy, and I could afford it now, maybe not later in life.
  6. Frustrating to park it all winter

Correct. They spread cinders on the road when it gets icy as well. The magnesium chloride is typically used on bare pavement right before a storm hits and it supposedly keeps the road surface from icing up as fast.... It leaves a thin, oily film on your vehicle and you need soap and water...
  7. PP2 OWNER EXPERIENCES - RAVES/QUIRKS

Good idea. I think I've read on other threads where guys wrap the pipes (as shown) and install heavier gear oil in the diff to keep things from overheating.
  8. PP2 OWNER EXPERIENCES - RAVES/QUIRKS

Good point, Ron. Their website did mention to enter your VIN to verify parts fit. I would imagine there are some dealers that don't even know that Ford makes a Performance Package Level 2! Agreed...there's a lot of "legwork" and real world experience that's already been done by others so we...

Maybe that building is the actual target and no one has brought enough firepower to destroy it yet...? 😁
  10. PP2 OWNER EXPERIENCES - RAVES/QUIRKS

FWIW- Tasca auto parts shows 2 different fender liners per side for Mustang GTs.... One without Performance Package, and one with Performance Package. No distinction made between Performance Packages though.

 My bad about thinking that @WildHorse G3 was a Holden.... It was the G8 that was the Holden. My brain isn't what it used to be...
  12. PP2 OWNER EXPERIENCES - RAVES/QUIRKS

I knew the PSC2 tires were shorter, but never checked out the actual measurements. Quite a difference in tire height.... Good points brought up by everyone mentioning tire size, gearing, speedometer, etc.

OK... By "makeover" I thought maybe you were thinking LS9, Tremec resto-mod stuff. But as rare as @ice445 says it is, a mild restoration might be a better plan.
  14. PP2 OWNER EXPERIENCES - RAVES/QUIRKS

If not fully loaded, that car is heavily optioned at the least. IIRC the 401A package was for the premium Mustang GT, so you're already getting a lot of extra "options" with the premium package. Then add in the specific options priced out on that sticker and you must be getting close to the top...
  15. PP2 OWNER EXPERIENCES - RAVES/QUIRKS

Those were great prices. I got mine for $43k and change, special ordered. The PP2 is great bang for the buck...
  16. Show off your daily driver when your Mustang is in winter storage.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to update the useless trivia file in my old brain with this. I think it drives my wife crazy when we're driving down the road and see some rare vehicle. Depending on what it is I can sometimes tell her about how many were built, colors, etc. She's never opened the...
  17. Show off your daily driver when your Mustang is in winter storage.

Thanks for the good info.... I thought this was a common issue with the '18 and '19 Wranglers, but since there hasn't been a recall on them that I'm aware of it must not be too big of a deal. I agree with you about the forums blowing things out of proportion. His is definitely a problem child...

I read somewhere that those were the same as the Holdens that GM builds in Australia...
