Correct. They spread cinders on the road when it gets icy as well. The magnesium chloride is typically used on bare pavement right before a storm hits and it supposedly keeps the road surface from icing up as fast.... It leaves a thin, oily film on your vehicle and you need soap and water...

Good idea. I think I've read on other threads where guys wrap the pipes (as shown) and install heavier gear oil in the diff to keep things from overheating.

FWIW- Tasca auto parts shows 2 different fender liners per side for Mustang GTs.... One without Performance Package, and one with Performance Package. No distinction made between Performance Packages though.

If not fully loaded, that car is heavily optioned at the least. IIRC the 401A package was for the premium Mustang GT, so you're already getting a lot of extra "options" with the premium package. Then add in the specific options priced out on that sticker and you must be getting close to the top...

Those were great prices. I got mine for $43k and change, special ordered. The PP2 is great bang for the buck...
