  1. Waiting for Stang, tempted by a Camaro!

Yes mate, i would be very interested in dyno days or 1mile runs, the only problem being you guys tend to be oop norf. :D The thing is, that 10's mustang has had a lot more spent on them than the Camaros. I'll do a copy of my respective shopping lists later and you can see what I mean. For the...
  2. Waiting for Stang, tempted by a Camaro!

That isnt even remotely what I said or the way it happened. I never said "in every way", thats just defensive hyperbole. I ordered a Mustang. I cancelled because of reading this forum, all the common faults, the lack of good support from dealers and as it turns out my local Ford dealer went...
  3. Waiting for Stang, tempted by a Camaro!

Lol, I didn't start this thread. I also didn't start posting very inaccurate things about them being £3k different in price. And yes, mustang owners do come on the Camaro forum. For the most part people are able to have a conversation without resorting to the F word. If someone didn't want...
  4. Waiting for Stang, tempted by a Camaro!

That guy doing 10's has spent considerably more than £3000. The 10Best doesnt do that. For a start if it did it would be the ZL1, not the RS and SS being mentioned. But in all the other cars mentioned it exactly is the base models. Audi RS3 is 4.3s? Where did you read it was 3.5? Surely a...
  5. Waiting for Stang, tempted by a Camaro!

Don't get me wrong, I will be modding the Camaro too, but the fact it starts off where it does for the same price, if you spend £3k on the Camaro you are looking at 500rwhp (and breaking in to 10's), not 500 flywheel, with money left over for trailing arms or whatever. Don't get me wrong, I...
  6. Waiting for Stang, tempted by a Camaro!

Cai and a tune for £500? Where? I would really have to question 472 flywheel for a cai and a tune, considering its rated at 415 stock. Looking at the dollar prices and by the time you add shipping and duty etc. That is not really a UK landed price. And then there's buying a brand new car and...
  7. Waiting for Stang, tempted by a Camaro!

I dont have mine yet, build date was about 3 weeks ago, just waiting on a delivery date. I have had left hand drive before though and did a good 30 minute or so test drive on the Camaro which cemented my choice. It is true that in certain circumstances a LHD pass is more diffictult...
  8. Waiting for Stang, tempted by a Camaro!

I actually cancelled my mustang order to get a new Camaro - 2 months in it has been built and is just waiting on shipping. Could be here before Christmas with any luck. My mustang order would have been March. Performance/handling wise the Camaro is streets ahead of the stock GT... by the time...
  9. About to buy a 2017 mustang 5.0 Magnetic uk

There's a host of info on here - make sure you read all the common faults so you know what to look for. I ended up cancelling my order based off this forum and the dealer being unwilling to answer basic warranty questions - they then went out of business a week later so loads of hassle saved!
  10. Gowrings of Reading, Will this be the first Ford store to go into administration???

I did but i had to call my CC and get them involved before it finally turned up.
  11. Ford strikes again - Heartbroken

Yeah, if they are going in to administration then you'll not see a penny back. The best you can hope for is either getting access to the car youve already paid for and sell it for a small profit, or for Ford to sort you out another. I wouldnt even be too fussed on colour, just get the best...

  13. Gowrings of Reading, Will this be the first Ford store to go into administration???

Wow, lucky i cancelled my order a few weeks ago! Would certainly explain why they werent answering any of my questions.
  14. Opinions wanted: parts vendor taking the P?

Technically according to credit card rules and in general in law a "reasonable time" for a response or action is 14 days, after that you are completely within your rights to take other action like calling the credit card company to get them to refund the money If its paypal you have nothing to...
  15. Are all UK dealers the same

Pretty similar experience with Gowrings of Reading. I phoned in to book a test drive and was told to pop on up at a particular time (30 odd minute drive from me which they knew). Got there to be told no one had me booked in so I would have to come back. Managed to wrangle a once round the...
  16. Autocar long term test

in and of itself, a few minor repairs would not neccessarily be a problem or a cause for concern... however by the sounds of things the amount of damage caused and the ongoing problems the car was having because of it, clearly they should have handled it differently
  17. Steeda Saturday Event - 3rd September 11am - 3pm

Steeda UK Sorry to hijack the thread but thought this would be more efficient than starting a new one... just looking at your GT power package, you guys advertise this as being 422rwhp, but has anyone dyno'd this on a UK car? Any idea what it makes on one? Cheers!
  18. Underseal at Zeebrugge.

I think the fact that other ford cars have non-sticky underseal is proof enough that it shouldn't still be sticky weeks after it has been applied
  19. Which oil did you go with on your first oil change?

as gibbo found out, Ford recommend 5w50 (or was it 0/50) for track use, so basically anything above 5w20 will be fine, the only downside being a heavier hot weight will marginally affect fuel mileage
  20. BOV question

Just to be sure, you mentioned the torque booster - that uses a wastegate, when you say BOV do you definitely mean the BOV or are you referring to the the tial wastegate that comes with the torque booster?
