  1. 4 days in with my EBM A/T

I'm surprised you get 20mpg on the sixxer in town. I had no problems getting 28-30 on the highway (75mph speed limit), but my in town mileage with lots of stop and go was always consistently around 17-18mpg. Perhaps its geared differently. Theres no way the v6 hits full torque at 2K rpm though...

Yes, I can. Without a doubt you will have no issue. I imagine this engine is tuned completely different compared to the escape. You can hit peak torque (300 ft lbs) at just 2,000 rpm and carry that peak torque all the way to 4,500 rpm before it starts to drop off. tl;dr: Its a rocket.

I did not admittedly, they are very sparse in my area. Indeed, not what I was going for with this thread. Can you comment on the cam timing Ti-VCT.. doesn't that mean variable cam timing? Or is it just a marketing gimmick and the cam timing changes aren't that significant? I'll check...

You loose power on the v6 too, they both have twin independent cam timing to adjust the timing for the octane of your gas.

The EcoBoost doesn't require 91... It also runs on 87.

Does your CAI make any significant sound differences?
  7. CAI and wet/winter driving?

So... as a CAI is not a closed system, I am concerned about the wet and winter driving. If it rains in and on the intake, can that cause problems or is it 100% weather safe?

Got a video of your exhaust? I'll never drive a manual car with an MT82 in it ever again, way too many problems, from the design of the shifting linkage, to the gearing design. Just a total cluster fuck of a transmission.

I'm curious how long until the buildup becomes a problem. My dad has the EcoBoost F-150 and he is nearing 50K miles with no problems so far, and no catch can.

Yeah I need some window tints pronto!
  11. 4 days in with my EBM A/T

Yes eventually, once I wear down the stock tires I'll throw my winter tires on those and pick up a set of standard fitment 18s hopefully in gloss or matte black. The buy some nice summer tires to go on those! I can't see myself throwing away the brand new stock tires though so I'm waiting on that.
  12. Quick Lane Oil Change Cost

My local Quick Lane is $39 for a semi-synthetic oil change and filter (6 qts) or just $12.50 for labor and disposal if I bring my own oil and filter. I used to do oil changes myself but these prices cannot be beat. For once I am genuinely surprised! Anyone else inquired about prices for...

Yeah I need to get out and take some serious pics of my car, no good ones yet other than some mid-detailing pictures. I love the paddle shifters!!

I just wanted to write a quick thread with my impressions on the '15 EcoBoost Mustang with an A/T. Mine is a base model with the 17" wheels, Magnetic Metallic in color. Only option is the automatic transmission which I chose after so many issues with the manual MT82 in my '14 v6. The Good...
  15. 17" wheels tire pressure?

My dealer failed to adjust the tire pressure on delivery of my new Mustang. The door sill states 32psi recommended for my tires/wheels, so I adjusted the tires down from 45psi to 32psi. After a bit of settling it seems like they are now at 31psi on 3 corners and 32psi on the last corner...
  16. a/c issue

I also find the AC in this car to be quite weak. Coming from a sedan that could cool the cabin to an extremely chilly degree in less than 5 minutes from sitting in the sun in 90 degree weather, the Mustang can't seem to do this in 15 minutes. Even with the AC cranked, I was sweating by the...
  17. 20.5 miles per gallon? Normal

I'm about 60/40 highway/city about 400 miles in. Just filled up with 91 too.
  18. Spots on paint after wash

This is called hard water etching, and if the vinegar solution did not function, you'll need a light polish or cleaner wax to get it off. Hard water has minerals like calcium that deposit on the clear, and if left for to long to dry (for example after washing) it'll lightly etch into your clear...

Does everyones rear window have these dots? Does everyones rear window have these dots?
