This isn't a big deal about nothing. When you have an 800 credit score another inquiry can severely effect it. Not to mention when they blow up your report with 10+ inquiries shopping every bank. If I bring in my own cash check whatever there shouldn't be a credit report ran.

It's not an issue. Additional things turn on and draw more power from the alternator, the alternator in turn signals the computer to make more power momentarily, then it goes back. normal.

This is an entirely different situation. The dealer will have my social and my identification, and can call the issuing bank to determine the authenticity of the check. Plus, the check is made out to the dealer, not blank.

I'm curious if any of you who have paid with your own financing still have had the dealer run your credit anyway, despite having a check in hand for your loan?

Your opinion I guess. I'm a semi-professional automotive detailer, and buffing to get rid of iron deposits or other contaminates on the paint is wrong and a dangerous practice. Most new cars don't need a full ironx treatment, but a claybar can't hurt.

The whole point of ironx and/or a claybar is to remove the contaminates before you do any machining work on the paint, else you just pick up the contaminates on your pads and machine them all over the paint which could cause microscratches etc etc. If you used ironx and your car is clear of...

If you do get wax on the plastic remove as soon as possible with a light APC and plush microfiber, no worries. If you bake it in the sun for 6 months first, you're screwed.

I was just about to post this question. I almost bought an EcoBoost manual last night but I test drove it and it had this horrendous noise especially in 3rd gear. I had this issue in my 11 v6 manual transmission and Ford wouldn't address the problem either. It sounds like something is rubbing...

Still doesn't fix the stock linkage arm.

Used to have this when the AC compressor would turn on every few minutes. Would blip the idle up and down a few hundred rpm, was the most noticeable in a drive-thru where you're waiting and waiting with the window down.

I am assuming 17"s are going to be a no go with these brakes?
