Sort of hard to compare a ZL1 with a NA Mustang GT or Coyote variant. Drive a Roush RS3 or GT500 and compare the two. I did sit in a ZL1 when I was in the process of buying mine and man those Recaro's were ".....Like a Rock....." I'd certainly have one though. There are indeed some nice...
Be sure you look at all the options you lose going from 2SS to 1SS. The drop was too much for me. Premium PP1 Mustang gives you quite a bit for the money. I'd say on the street the PP1 will be quite a bit friendlier than the 1LE. On the track the 1LE will have the edge.
The interior is quite cavy inside the Camaro. The gun slit windows which look cool from the outside and black on black on black interiors just make it very dark especially with no sunroof. It wasn't a deal breaker, I was just still looking for a used one that was the right...
Yep I’ve been checking mine cold as at least it was a constant when you check and seemed to have the most clear metal vs liquid line. But maybe now after reading the by the book method, perhaps I’m overfilling a bit at times. I’ll try this method and see if I get a different reading.
Sorry, but this is the stupidest design/program in automobile history. It literally takes 20-25 minutes to correctly check your freaking oil and then when you get around to that part (and if you have a very common front strut tower brace) you have to do the freaking hokey pokey to get the...
I was referring to this note here. Wasn't trying to be argumentative. Just noting that there were a lot of changes to the car. Much more than "just the A10":
Also new for the Mustang in 2018 is SYNC® Connect which will allow you to remotely start (automatic transmission-equipped models...
IE: You have a 2017 and so you want to minimize the vast amount of exterior, interior, engine, suspension, exhaust, electronic and transmission related upgrades in the 2018+. You win.
That falls under my fingers growing weary lol. Needless to say, there were a ton of upgrades to the car. Not saying the pre-18's suck or anything, but there was a lot of work done and the vast majority of it was positive.
Sorry but you are vastly understating the breadth of changes in the 2018+. "It literally boils down to the A10???" Uh yeah... no. DI meh... Except for 11.0 to 12.0 compression ratio. Except for an updated intake manifold. Except for larger cylinders. Except for larger valves. Except for...
I like the front end on the pre-18's better, but I like the engine and exhaust upgrades on the 2018's better. I think because they were doing so much on that front, they felt they had to make an appearance change along with it. Not saying it's right or wrong to do it, perhaps just a reason...
I like the paddles personally. If I'm in "A," I sometimes will kick it down a few gears just to get a pass in or around a bend. But if I'm wanting to have fun (I have a lot of twisties around me), then I put it in "S" and though some of the shifts are a bit harsh, by no means would I call them...
Looked at a ton of options. The final two came down to:
2019-20 Camaro 2SS
2015-16 RC-F
Was totally going to go with the Camaro, even though I came from a Ford family and it was going to be my very first Chevy. Problem was I had my heart said on one of the two Gray colors, in the 2SS...
Thanks for the reply. But the AM replica's I'm looking at are only the design of the PP1s. With all 4 as a 19x8.5 square setup. So I need the best width for 8.5. Am I correct that it is 245? Then if I go from a 20" wheel with a 35, to a 19" wheel with a 40 it should be the same size tire...
Probably picking up a set of AM PP1 Replica 19x8.5's for my late fall to early spring setup. Currently running 275/35R20 on my Roush forged wheels which are 9.5" wide. I'm trying to avoid spacers and don't care really if I lose an inch of poke from what I have now. I thought the recommended...
