  1. Buying Ecoboost for the exhaust sounds

I'm still waiting to hear a Coyote engine that sounds as good as my 4.6L with cams/longtube headers did. Most of them are kind of raspy and sound bad next to V8 Challenger's and SS's.
  2. Buying Ecoboost for the exhaust sounds

I don't think the EB sounds bad at all with an aftermarket exhaust. Sure, it's no V8, but it's not a fart can 1999 Honda Civic, either. I enjoy rev bombing V8's. :D Oh yeah, full throttle pulls with the windows down sound really cool, too.
  3. Spec D Tuning 3inch cat back installed

I like the burnt tips. That's a good price on a catback. I did a Lethal Performance Y-pipe and NXT Step axleback on mine and spent a little more than you did. It's nice to have low cost options. Does it have any burble and popping to it?
  4. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Ordered a Chemical Guys foam soap gun and CarGuys wheel cleaner. Getting ready to pay the car off. The serious work will start soon.
  5. Does your engine "Fart"

I have an EB with aftermarket exhaust. Sounds like a thousand angry wet farts.
  6. Tell me which mustang is for me

The EB is a great car. I have a lot of fun in mine. Boost is addicting. It is, however, not a car for the thin skinned. If you need to validate your purchase on the opinions of others, you're going to have a bad time in an EB Mustang.
  7. Improved the driving experience

Boost gauge. If it's not pegged, I'm not driving right.
  8. Problems with meth?

I like that. I might use that when I do WMI in the future. :D
  9. Engine blew up

Nope, the drop top ruins the lines of the car.
  10. FP Tune dyno vs. GT dyno?

All the ones I see are around the 15k mark. Cams, longtubes, supercharger + 15k would put you around 25k and you'd be sitting on an easy 550+hp badass sounding car. DO IT. For me. My wife won't let me buy one just yet since I just got my EB 7 months ago.
  11. FP Tune dyno vs. GT dyno?

I would love, love, love to get another 4.6L V8 and build it up again. Cams and longtubes make the 4.6L sound absolutely amazing. I had a nice lopey idle on my 4.6L with my Crower cams. Sounded like a muscle car from the 60's. I browse autotrader.com from time to time looking for an 05-09 that...
  12. Engine blew up

I get a lot of compliments on my EB. Probably because of the color/vinyl wrap combo. And here's the weird part....I've gotten quite a few compliments on the exhaust.
  13. FP Tune dyno vs. GT dyno?

3.73 gears from the PP mitigate the GT's lack of low end torque, though, right?
  14. Engine blew up

It comes down to preference. There's no wrong choice of engine. For street driving you will rarely get the chance to use the power the stock EB has let alone the 435hp a GT has. For drag racing, either engine can be built to get into the 9's. I suppose if you want lower than that you'll need a...
  15. Auto Climate Control?

I don't have any complaints about the climate control. The seat back cooling, though....
  16. Getting ready to tune - Lund Racing or LMS

I'm well aware of the risks of modding. I'm doing it anyway. I heavily modded my 97 GT. It was a reliable car - 500+miles a week for several years. Believe me when I say this isn't my first time modding a car. I don't mean modding in terms of CAI and exhaust. I went all in on my GT. And like...
  17. Getting ready to tune - Lund Racing or LMS

Let me clarify, since some of you aren't understanding what I meant by reliable. I am not after an extremely aggressive tune. I am after a safe tune that can support further modding. This is why I am not using the FRPP tune. The FRPP tune cannot support a downpipe. It cannot support an upgraded...
  18. Getting ready to tune - Lund Racing or LMS

I am well aware of the advantages of the 5.0 over the 2.3L. I'm also at 6,000 feet - the GT isn't the balls out monster up here that it is at sea level. It's not the point, though. I'm building up the EB for fun and with my play money. I'm not financing any of this (aside from the car which will...
  19. Getting ready to tune - Lund Racing or LMS

So, here's the thing. I am going to tune with either Lund or LMS. I am asking for information on these tunes. I provided a basic roadmap so that I could get the best advice on the most viable tuner (out of the two) for my future plans for the car. I do not want to have to switch tuners later. I...
  20. Getting ready to tune - Lund Racing or LMS

The time has finally come for me to tune my car. I've had it for 7 months and while I really enjoy it, the stock tune leaves me wanting. I'm selling my rental property and we're set to close on June 1st. My wife has agreed to let me tune my car after we close. I plan to order sometime in the...
