  1. Grabber Blue vs. Competition Orange

Grabber Blue and Competition Orange are my two favorite colors. Life is too short to drive a car with boring paint. When I ordered my Mustang, I ordered Grabber Blue with black painted roof. Ended up with a Competition Orange car due to being impatient, but I'm happy either way.
  2. Engine Comes Apart

I always take whatever you say seriously since I know you successfully pushed your stock block quite hard.
  3. Engine Comes Apart

Have there been many/any failures of E30/E85/WMI tuned engines or has it all been 91/93 tunes?
  4. What kind of power

I don't consider the engine weak or unreliable by any means, but there is no denying that enough of them have tossed a rod that anyone wanting an aftermarket tune needs to be aware of the potential for an unexpected $7k repair bill. Also, I *hate* the 3.31s in my car. 3.73s are next up...
  5. What kind of power

Some of those 5.0 guys try to make us feel like we are...... Bottom line, if you're going to mod for more power make sure you can afford to replace an engine if need be, otherwise, get the Ford tune and be happy.
  6. I like my car MORE as time goes on. Anybody else?

Other than the lack of power (a situation I'm rectifying "soon"), I love everything about her....
  7. What kind of power

I think I've read that the majority of the EB's that blow their engines are manuals. Most of the time it's reported that they weren't doing anything crazy. Leaving Wal-Mart, passing on the interstate, etc... So I'm wondering if most of these cases are from lugging the engine. No one ever says...
  8. What kind of power

Well, there goes my reputation since I don't believe he's god, either, and plan to use Lund (or possibly LMS) when I get tuned "soon".
  9. What kind of power

Engine failures happen. I blew up my SOHC 4.6L many years ago. I just used that as an excuse to put in a 2003 Mach 1 Crate motor. I'm not really sure if the 2.3L has an unusually high failure rate or if it's just internet noise. Regardless, you have to pay to play. Part of the modding game is...
  10. SVO vs. Ecoboost - /DRIVE

I drove an auto and a manual PP before getting my manual non-PP. I don't really remember how they handled vs what I bought. I hadn't driven a stick in so long at the point any handling difference would have been lost on me anyway. There was a big difference, though, when I pulled my Sottozero...
  11. SVO vs. Ecoboost - /DRIVE

It had the 20" premium wheels, so it didn't have the PP unless verts get the 20" wheels with PP. Isn't the automatic faster in drag racing while the manual is better at the track? I have probably one of the slowest EBs (not that the EB is fast in any trim level), 201a premium, 20" factory...
  12. Vargas Stage 2+ Initial Impression

From what I've read in other threads, this thing pulls like crazy all the way to redline.
  13. Vargas Stage 2+ Initial Impression

Any idea what 91+meth would be equivalent to? E30? Edit: Wow, I completely missed the WMI part, lol.
  14. List of Best Bolt-ons before internals

GoFatBits DV+ is a nice little upgrade for around $130. I don't know if it really helps with ET's in th 1/4, but it does help with boost recovery after a shift and makes a noticeable difference. Other than that, everything has already been covered in the previous posts. I've done my car...
  15. Tune+ WMI Kit Install and Thoughts

Were you already tuned and gained another 30lb ft with WMI? Or...? Sorry, just got up. Haven't finished my coffee. What kind of HP increase did you see? I'm curious, WMI is something I'm very interested in.
  16. Ford Racing ProCal Tune

It's actually kind of embarrassing because I've got a cat-back exhaust on my car. Revving up past 3k RPM makes it sound like I'm some boy racer showing off. I need to get tuned ASAP, lol.
  17. The LFP 550

550hp? I'd be happy with just 300whp, lol.
  18. Adam telling people all EB engines built prior to 5/15 are problematic

I'm not invested in the engine debate. I've got a Spanish engine and I'm untuned for now. I was simply trying to make a point about the burden of proof, not trying to take sides.
  19. Adam telling people all EB engines built prior to 5/15 are problematic

The onus is on the individual making the claim to provide proof. In this case, the claim is 'Valencia, Spain made 2.3L Ecoboost motors are flawed'. To make the claim, you need to provide proof. Which is what is being asked for.
